In fact, it is the official policy of the United Nations to fight climate change by promoting population control measures.  They don't even try to camouflage it anymore.  Last year the UNFPA (the United Nations Population Fund) released its annual State of the World Population Report entitled "Facing a Changing World: Women, Population and Climate", and in that document it was made clear that the official position of the UN is that the only way to avoid a major climate disaster is to dramatically increase "family planning" services around the globe and to do whatever is necessary to reduce worldwide fertility rates. 

Check out just a few of the quotes about the link between overpopulation and climate change contained in the UNFPA report....

*"The importance of the speed and magnitude of recent population growth in boosting future greenhouse-gas emissions is well recognized among scientists, including the authors of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's reports."

*"Still, calculations of the contribution of population growth to emissions growth globally produce a consistent finding that most of past population growth has been responsible for between 40 per cent and 60 per cent of emissions growth."

*"Each birth results not only in the emissions attributable to that person in his or her lifetime, but also the emissions of all his or her descendents. Hence, the emissions savings from intended or planned births multiply with time."

*"No human is genuinely "carbon neutral," especially when all greenhouse gases are figured into the equation. Therefore, everyone is part of the problem, so everyone must be part of the solution in some way."

*"Strong family planning programmes are in the interests of all countries for greenhouse-gas concerns as well as for broader welfare concerns."

No human is genuinely carbon neutral?

That means by being alive, we are all part of the problem.

To the elite, we are viewed as "useless eaters" that have multiplied to the point where we are now wildly out of control and are threatening to destroy the earth with our toxic carbon emissions.

And don't think for a moment that the United Nations Population Fund is not a big time international organization.

They are active in virtually ever corner of the planet, they have the full backing of the United Nations, and thanks to Barack Obama they have 50 million U.S. taxpayer dollars with which to advance their eugenics agenda.

But it is not just the United Nations that is preoccupied with population control as a solution to global warming.

Bill Gates is absolutely obsessed with it.

In the video posted below, Bill Gates explains his belief that carbon emissions from humans are causing climate change, and that the only way to stop climate change is to reduce those carbon emissions to zero.

That is right. 

While you watch the clip, notice how many times he emphasizes the need to bring these carbon emissions down to zero.

So how does he propose to do this?

Well, one of his suggestions is to slow the growth of the population.

And how will that be accomplished?

In the video Bill Gates tells us exactly what his solution is....

"The world today has 6.8 billion people. That's heading up to about nine billion. Now if we do a really great job on new vaccines, health care, reproductive health services, we could lower that by perhaps 10 or 15 percent."

Now wait a minute - aren't vaccines supposed to keep people alive?

Wouldn't more vaccines actually increase the population?

Or does Bill Gates know something that we don't?

What Bill Gates has to say in this video is absolutely jaw dropping....

But of course Bill Gates is not the only one who is obsessed with climate change and population control.

The truth is that while you and I may not give much thought to "overpopulation", the global elite are truly obsessed with it. 

In fact, they even hold gatherings where they all get together and talk about it.  Just over one year ago Bill Gates, David Rockefeller, Warren Buffett, George Soros, Michael Bloomberg, Ted Turner, Oprah Winfrey and a number of other incredibly wealthy individuals held a secret meeting in New York.

So what was the topic of this secret meeting?

Population control.

One anonymous attendee of the meeting was quoted in a major U.K. newspaper as saying that overpopulation "is something so nightmarish that everyone in this group agreed it needs big-brain answers."

Apparently they are the big brains that are going to figure out the best ways to make sure that there are fewer of the rest of us running around.

So the next time you hear about the incredible "threat" of climate change in the mainstream media, keep in mind what the global elite believe the ultimate solution to that threat is.

As Bill Gates said, they are not going to be satisfied until they get carbon emissions by humans down to zero.

And considering the fact that you have been breathing out carbon dioxide the whole time that you have been reading this article, that is not good news for you.

So just what is going on with the weather?  Well, it is actually the sun the drives global warming and cooling, and right now we are in a cooling cycle.  To learn more about the science behind this, just check out this article. 

In any event, the truth is that even the common man or woman on the street can put 2 and 2 together this winter and realize that this whole "global warming" thing is not all that it is cracked up to be.  The following are just 8 reasons why this winter is making a mockery out of the climate change crowd....

#1) Global warming?  Record-setting cold temperatures and brutal winter weather have been sweeping North America, Europe and Asia with no end in sight.

#2) Global warming?  877 snowfall records were set or tied in the United States in just one week in December.

#3) Global warming? A massive storm barreling into the Upper Midwest just before Christmas stirred up a blizzard that some meteorologists said was stronger than just about any storm seen in South Dakota in the past 40 years.

#4) Global warming?  Winter has only just begun and 50 percent of the U.S. was already covered in snow at one point in December.

#5) Global warming?  The death toll from winter storms across Europe has risen to at least 80 people, as arctic temperatures and heavy snow continue to plague the continent.

#6) Global warming? More than 30 people died in cold-weather related incidents in Northern India recently in just one 24 hour period.

#7) Global warming? Even Barack Obama has been impacted by this winter weather.  In fact, Obama had to leave the United Nations Copenhagen summit on global warming because of a record setting snow storm back home in Washington D.C.

#8) Global warming? In the wake of the Copenhagen climate change summit, many delegates returned home only to find record-setting subfreezing weather hammering their home nations throughout Europe.  Sometimes it seems like someone up there has a beautiful sense of humor.

An earlier version of the Copenhagen climate change treaty can be found here.  However, the version of the treaty now being circulated in Copenhagen is not available to the public at this point. 

Fortunately, there are some officials who have seen the latest version and who are willing to speak out.  One of them is Lord Christopher Monckton - a former official in the Thatcher administration.

We already knew that the Copenhagen Treaty was going to be incredibly bad, but according to Lord Monckton it is going to be even worse than we anticipated.

So just what is this horrific treaty going to do?

#1) A World Government

The Copenhagen Treaty is going to be a gigantic step towards world government.  Lord Monckton recently said the following about what the drafters of this treaty are trying to do.....

"Once again they are desperately trying to conceal from everybody here the magnitude of what they’re attempting to do – they really are attempting to set up a world government."

The wording of the treaty creates governmental bodies with a vast array of power over environmental affairs.  The treaty gives these new governmental bodies tremendous power over the lives of every man, woman and child on earth.  It even grants these new governmental authorities authority over the U.S. government and the U.S. Constitution.

When you have world governmental authorities that can micromanage the smallest details of our lives and that can trump the U.S. Congress and the U.S. Constitution, what do you have?

World government.

#2) Brutal New World Taxes

The Copenhagen Treaty will also establish crushing new taxes which will further devastate the economy of the United States and which will transfer massive amounts of wealth to developing nations.

This is what Lord Monckton had to say about the taxes in the Copenhagen Treaty.....  

"Tax the American economy to the extent of 2 percent GDP, to impose a further tax of 2 percent on every financial transaction….and to close down effectively the economies of the west, transfer your jobs to third world countries – all of that is still in the treaty draft."

To illustrate just how massive these new taxes would be, he pointed out that they would amount to at least half of the entire U.S. defense budget.

That is huge.

So where would all of this money go?

It would be transferred to third world nations to help them build "green" economies and it would go towards running the new socialist world governmental bodies.

This would be a blow that the U.S. economy may never recover from.  Already the U.S. economy is coming apart like a house of cards.

What would these new taxes do to it?

#3) Creation Of 700 New Bureaucracies To Enforce The Treaty

According to Lord Monckton, the Copenhagen Treaty will create 700 new bureaucracies to enforce the provisions of the agreement.....

"We’re looking at a grab for absolute power and absolute financial control worldwide by the UN and its associated bureaucracies and 700 new bureaucratic bodies."

This would not mean 700 new officials.

This would mean 700 new bureaucracies.

700 new organizations that would be crawling all over the world micromanaging the lives of every man, woman and child - making sure that they are adhering to the edicts of the new environmental world laws.

Lastly, perhaps the most ominous provision of this treaty is that it states that once a nation has signed on to it, it may not ever cancel its membership without the approval of all the other member nations.

Do you understand what that means?

It means that unless every single other nation agrees, the United States can never, ever get out of it.

Ever.

No future president would be able to do anything.

No future Congress would be able to do anything.

The United States of America would be under the thumb of this treaty forever.

We would be obligated to pay their world taxes forever.

We would be obligated to transfer our wealth to other nations forever.

We would be obligated to submit to the extremist regulations of world environmental bodies forever.

Are you starting to get the picture?

Denmark is one of the growing number of countries where prostitution is actually legal.  Instead of being called "prostitutes", they are known as "sex workers".  You can almost hear thousands of world officials salivating as they arrive in Copenhagen anticipating a very productive and stimulating time away from their home countries. 

But not everyone is thrilled.  Copenhagen's mayor actually sent out postcards to 160 Copenhagen hotels urging summit delegates to "be sustainable - don't buy sex".

But since prostitution is legal in Denmark, there is not much the mayor can do to stop it.  In fact, many of Copenhagen's "sex care workers" are reportedly offering free sex to anyone who can produce one of the mayor's postcards.  They are furious that the mayor would try to disrupt the busiest time that they will see this entire year.

In fact, a spokeswoman for the Sex Workers Interest Group said that Mayor Bjerregaard is "abusing her position as Lord Mayor in using her power to prevent us carrying out our perfectly legal job".

On another note, law enforcement officials in Copenhagen have constructed a "holding facility" that contains approximately three dozen small steel cages which they say can accommodate more than 350 protesters.

While some observers have criticized these steel cages as being inhumane, the reality is that law enforcement authorities now see these kinds of "security measures" as routine whenever globalist leaders assemble around the globe.

The New York Times quotes Per Larsen, the top coordinating officer for the Copenhagen police force as saying that this "is surely the biggest police action we have ever had in Danish history".

In addition to the new holding facility with the steel cages, Denmark also rushed new laws through Parliament that allow for stiffer fines and "extended detention" for protestors.  Law enforcement authorities have also made it a point to have public displays of newly acquired antiriot equipment - in hopes that potential protesters would "get the message".

So why would protesters be so upset?

Is it because they don't have anything better to do?

No, it is because a group of mostly unelected world leaders is poised to take a gigantic step towards world government.  An elaborate web of rules and regulations is expected to be agreed to in Copenhagen that will have fundamental consequences for every man, woman and child on earth.  The global agenda of the ruling elite of the world is about to be ruthlessly pushed forward at the expense of the middle class and the poor - all in the name of "saving the earth" from carbon dioxide. 

But anyone who dares to protest this will be jammed into a small steel cage while the global elitists run around Copenhagen cavorting with prostitutes.

For those not familiar with Climategate, essentially what happened is that hacked emails and documents from the University of East Anglia’s Hadley Climate Research Unit were posted on the Internet which prove that many of the key scientists involved in the theory of global warming conspired to falsify climate data in order to prop up the premise that mankind is causing climate change.  A great summary of this unfolding scandal can be found here.

Why did they did those scientists have to falsify the data?

Why?

Because the actual science simply does not support the theory of man-made global warming.  If you are not aware of how the scientific data clearly shows that man is not causing global warming, please read the article that we recently posted on our sister site entitled "How To Save The Environment? But Climategate is not about to stop Barack Obama from heading to Copenhagen.  In fact, world leaders from all over the globe will soon be pouring in to Copenhagen ready to sign a treaty that will pledge their nations to make deep sacrifices in order to fight the threat of climate change.  The Copenhagen Treaty will give an as yet unnamed U.N. body the power to directly intervene in the financial, economic, tax and environmental affairs of all the nations in order to fight the threat of climate change.  It would represent a gigantic step towards world government.  In fact, United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon recently wrote an editorial in the New York Times that openly declared that "global governance" is needed to fight the threat of global warming.

In his editorial, Ban Ki-moon made the following very disturbing statements.....

"All agree that climate change is an existential threat to humankind."

"A deal must include an equitable global governance structure."

"All countries must have a voice in how resources are deployed and managed."

Sorry Ban Ki-moon, but all do not agree.

In fact, the whole Climategate scandal has revealed that the top global warming scientists have been deliberately lying to us.

In response to Climategate, White House Spokesman Robert Gibbs stated that for the Obama administration it really does not change anything.....

"In the order of several thousand scientists have come to the conclusion that climate change is happening," Gibbs told reporters. "I don’t think that any of that is, quite frankly among most people, in dispute."

But it is not just the denial of good science that makes global warming like a religion.  The truth is that global warming extremism has now essentially become a religion.

In fact, one judge in the U.K. has issued an opinion giving belief in global warming the status of a religion.  Just check out what Justice Michael Burton wrote.....

"A belief in man-made climate change, and the alleged resulting moral imperatives, is capable, if genuinely held, of being a philosophical belief for the purpose of the 2003 Religion and Belief Regulations. The belief must be of a similar cogency or status to a religious belief, the ECHR jurisprudence is directly material and the limitations on the concept and extent of a philosophical belief can be derived from that, without the need to place any additional limitation on the nature or source of the belief."

In addition, many of the world's most prominent religious leaders have expressed their belief in global warming and in the importance of trying to stop climate change.  The Dalai Lama himself now says that the world's leaders must give the highest priority to the issue of global warming.  Earlier this month Pope Benedict told a United Nations world food summit that "the Earth can sufficiently feed all of its inhabitants" despite the "devastation" caused by global warming.  The World Council of Churches is calling on churches around the world to ring their bells 350 times during the Copenhagen climate change summit as a call to action on global warming.

Not only that, but some of the top environmental extremists associated with the U.N. actually want to equate the battle against global warming with religion.  According to a paper written two years ago to influence the future strategy of the United Nations Environmental Program, environmentalism should be considered to be on the same level with religion as it is "the only compelling, value-based narrative available to humanity."

But nobody is doing more to equate global warming with religion than Al Gore is.  Already dubbed "the eco-prophet" by environmental extremists, Al Gore is stressing the "spiritual side" of climate change in his new book.

In fact, Gore has developed specific environmental training programs for each of the major world religions.

Newsweek quotes Gore as saying the following regarding these training programs.....

"I've done a Christian [-based] training program; I have a Muslim training program and a Jewish training program coming up, also a Hindu program coming up. I trained 200 Christian ministers and lay leaders here in Nashville in a version of the slide show that is filled with scriptural references."

The truth is that belief in global warming is quickly becoming a global religious movement.  Those without blind faith need not apply.  A global treaty is about to be signed which will impose strict regulations on the lives of every man, woman and child on the planet to fight a threat which the science says simply is not there.  To question this insanity is to risk being branded as a heretic by the environmental extremists that control the United Nations and most of the governments around the world. 

The fight against global warming is now part of the official orthodoxy of the 21st century.  To question it is to question the very world system that we are all a part of.  The global elite intends to use this belief system to impose tyrannical regulations on the entire planet all in the name of saving the earth.

If you plan on speaking up about this you better do so while there is still time.

That is exactly the position that Al Gore finds himself in. The leading advocate of the theory of "man-made global warming" is also one of the people who would likely benefit the most financially from the implementation of a "cap and trade" carbon credit trading scheme.

You see, Al Gore is chairman of Generation Investment Management. David Blood, the former chief executive of Goldman Sachs Asset Management, is the CEO.

Thus the nickname - Blood and Gore.

Wikipedia describes Blood and Gore this way.....

Generation Investment Management LLP (GIM) is a London-based investment management firm with an investment style that blends traditional equity research with a focus on sustainability factors, including social and environmental responsibility and corporate governance.

It all sounds very noble, doesn't it?

But the bottom line is that GIM is about making money.  GIM owns a 10 percent stake in the Chicago Climate Exchange.  The Chicago Climate Exchange owns half of the European Climate Exchange.

Thus if the United States and Europe adopt a "cap and trade" carbon credit trading scheme Al Gore could potentially rake in billions of dollars.

If they don't, Al Gore's investment in these ventures could end up being worthless.

When asked about the financial incentives that Gore has to promote carbon trading in an appearance before Congress, Gore did not back down one bit.....

"Do you think there is something wrong with being active in business in this country?" the New York Times quotes Gore as telling Congress. "I am proud of it. I am proud of it."

Gore insists that he is completely committed to solving the problems caused by "climate change" and that he is not ashamed of being ready to make tons of money off of those solutions.....

"I believe that the transition to a green economy is good for our economy and good for all of us, and I have invested in it."

But is Al Gore ready to back real environmental solutions which would not make him money? 

Apparently those kinds of solutions don't appeal to him as much.  Just consider the following passage from a recent Newsweek article.....

"If we feed the biology and manage grasslands appropriately, we could sequester as much carbon as we emit," says Timothy LaSalle, CEO of the Rodale Institute, who presented at two summits. The political clash is this: if you tell people soils can be managed to suck up lots of our carbon emissions, it sounds like a get-out-of-jail-free card, and could decrease what little enthusiasm there is for reducing those emissions—as one of Gore's assistants told LaSalle in asking him to dial down his estimate. (He didn't.)"

One of Gore's assistants actually asked LaSalle to "dial down his estimate"?

What in the world?

Perhaps LaSalle's idea could really work.

But apparently since it would not make Al Gore any money it is not as good as the "cap and trade" carbon trading scheme which would dramatically raise energy prices for American consumers and which would further wreck the U.S. economy.

The truth is that Al Gore is going to keep positioning his money to take advantage of "green" legislation and he is going to keep using his political clout to tirelessly advocate for that same legislation.

As Al Gore's firm, Blood and Gore, starts to rake in billions of dollars as middle class Americans struggle to pay their power bills, perhaps it will be then that many Americans will finally learn the true meaning of this Al Gore quote..... 

"Reality does have a way of knocking on the door."

First of all, let's quickly deal with the ridiculous claims that man is causing global warming.  The truth is that "global warming" is caused by the sun.  A few years ago when the sun was experiencing record sunspot activity, the entire solar system experienced "global warming".  Now that the sun has entered a period of very low sunspot activity the earth (and the rest of the solar system) is actually cooling. 

But carbon dioxide levels continue to increase.  If carbon dioxide was causing global warming temperatures should have continued to rise.

But they didn't.

In fact, scientists tell us that there have been periods when the earth has had much higher levels of carbon dioxide.  It is one of the key components of life.  The more carbon dioxide, the better crops do and the more life on earth thrives.

But now many of these world leaders have decided that we need to radically reduce the level of carbon dioxide on earth.  This will hurt plant life all over the globe and crop yields will go down.

But this serves the depopulation agenda of the global elite very well.  You see, the global elite have decided that there are way too many of us.  In fact, they openly discuss the need to reduce population levels by up to 90 percent.  If you doubt this, just read the following article that we recently authored on our sister site: The Radical Population Control And Eugenics Agenda Of The Global Elite.

So do these global elitists really believe in the global warming agenda?  Some probably have drunk the Kool-Aid.  However, whether they actually believe in the agenda or not, they all seem to agree that more "global governance" is needed.

For example, U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon recently penned an editorial in the New York Times entitled "We Can Do It".  In his article, Ban Ki-Moon made the following statements.....

"All agree that climate change is an existential threat to humankind."

"A deal must include an equitable global governance structure."

"All countries must have a voice in how resources are deployed and managed."

All agree that climate change is an existential threat to humankind?

I sure don't.

Actually recent polls indicate that about half of all American people do not, and the trend among these polls is for Americans to increasingly reject the theory of man-made global warming.

And what in the world is "an equitable global governance structure"?

Is that supposed to be a less threatening way to say "global government"?

Apparently under global governance "all countries" will have "a voice in how resources are deployed and managed".

So that means all other countries will have a voice in how American resources are deployed and managed?

Ronald Reagan must be rolling over in his grave.

But Ban Ki-Moon is not alone in calling for global governance.

Former Vice President Al Gore declared in July 2009 that the climate bill currently being rammed through Congress will help bring about "global governance".  Gore's exact quote is below.....

"But it is the awareness itself that will drive the change and one of the ways it will drive the change is through global governance and global agreements."

Excuse us Mr. Gore, but there are still tens of millions of Americans who want absolutely nothing to do with global government.

And to think that that guy came thisclose to becoming president of the United States.

But it is not just about some misguided environmentalists trying to save the world.

It is about global elites trying to set up a world government to control humanity.

As MIT climate scientist Dr. Richard Lindzen has explained: "'He who controls carbon controls life. It is a bureaucrat's dream to control carbon dioxide."

In fact, in December 2007 the United Nations climate conference in Bali proposed the adoption of a global carbon tax system that would represent "a global burden sharing system, fair, with solidarity, and legally binding to all nations."

So how close are we to a "global government" that will control the whole world through carbon regulations and carbon taxes?

Much closer than you may have thought.

This past October 14th, Lord Christopher Monckton (a former science advisor in the Thatcher administration) gave a stunning presentation to students at Bethel College in St. Paul, Minnesota.  During his presentation, Lord Monckton issued a dire warning regarding the "United Nations Climate Change Treaty" that is to be signed in Copenhagen.  An excerpt of a portion of Lord Monckton's remarks as reported by Canada Free Press is posted below.  Monckton is absolutely convinced from his reading of this treaty that it will create the groundwork for a global government.....

At [the 2009 United Nations Climate Change Conference in] Copenhagen, this December, weeks away, a treaty will be signed. Your president will sign it. Most of the third world countries will sign it, because they think they’re going to get money out of it. Most of the left-wing regime from the European Union will rubber stamp it. Virtually nobody won’t sign it.

I read that treaty. And what it says is this, that a world government is going to be created. The word “government” actually appears as the first of three purposes of the new entity. The second purpose is the transfer of wealth from the countries of the West to third world countries, in satisfaction of what is called, coyly, “climate debt” – because we’ve been burning CO2 and they haven’t. We’ve been screwing up the climate and they haven’t. And the third purpose of this new entity, this government, is enforcement.

The truth is that all of this global warming hysteria is being used as a pretext to drag us into a world government.  The United States is about to lose large portions of its sovereignty, and Barack Obama and the U.S. Congress is very happily going along with the whole program.

We just thought you might want to know.

To make this situation even more sad, the Democrats added a 300 page amendment at 3 a.m. the night before the vote, and so there was not possibly enough time for any members of Congress to possibly read the bill before they voted on it.

Most Republicans were firmly opposed to this bill and were calling the measure a "job killer" that would push energy bills through the roof and would drive jobs and businesses overseas at a record pace.

But this cap and trade bill was a top priority for the White House, and Barack Obama spent much of Friday making phone calls trying to drum up support for the bill.

"Now is the time for us to lead," Obama told reporters in the White House Rose Garden. "We cannot be afraid of the future. We cannot be prisoners to the past."

This legislation was also vitally important to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, as she had pledged to get it passed before Congress left for their 4th of July vacation.

Another thing that is truly tragic is that this bill would NOT have passed if 8 Republicans had not actually voted for this bill.

That's right.

This bill would have failed if 8 Republicans had not voted in favor of it.

They are being called the "cap and traitors" and conservative talk radio is not being kind to them at all.  The following are the names of the Republican members of the House that voted for the bill.....

Most Republicans, however, recognized that this bill is going to be a complete disaster for the American people.

Representative Mike Pence from Indiana said that this bill "amounts to the largest tax increase in American history under the guise of climate change."

House Minority Leader John Boehner attempted to delay the attempt by the Democrats to ramrod this bill through by filibustering.  He actually started reading page-by-page through the 300-page Democratic amendment to the bill.  However, his efforts were not enough and the bill was voted on.

Earlier, Boehner had some very harsh words for the bill. In fact, he said that he had "never seen anything this ridiculous".

During his brief filibuster, Boehner made the following very wise remarks: "...the gentleman’s had his 30 years to put this bill together. And the House is going to spend a whopping five hours debating the most profound piece of legislation to come to this floor in 100 years. And the chairman has the audacity to drop a 300-plus page amendment in the hopper at 3:09 a.m. this morning. And so I would ask my colleagues, don’t you think the American people expect us to understand what’s in this bill before we vote on it?"

After the bill passed the U.S. House of Representatives, Boehner had these choice words regarding the bill: "Hey, people deserve to know what’s in this pile of s–t."

The reality is that this cap and trade bill is a complete nightmare for the American people, but Al Gore and other Democrat insiders stand to make a ton of money off of this whole scheme.

The truth is that even Barack Obama has had his fingerprints all over this cap and trade scheme for years. While Obama was on the board of a Chicago-based charity, he helped fund a carbon trading exchange that will almost surely play an absolutely critical role in the cap-and-trade program that he is now trying to force through the U.S. Congress.

During 2000 and 2001, the Joyce Foundation gave almost 1.1 million dollars in grant money that was instrumental in developing and launching the privately-owned Chicago Climate Exchange.

This exchange now now refers to itself as "North America’s only cap and trade system for all six greenhouse gases, with global affiliates and projects worldwide."

But the truth is that the whole notion that "global warming" is caused by carbon dioxide is complete nonsense.

Dr. Tim Ball, a renowned environmental consultant and former climatology professor at the University of Winnipeg, makes it abundantly clear that carbon dioxide cannot possibly cause "global warming":

"CO2 is about 1.5 the density of air. One of the great fallacies promoted by [the proponents of the global warming theory] is that CO2 is well and quickly mixed through the atmosphere. It isn't. They also argue that the CO2 is most effective in trapping heat from the Earth (infrared) at the top of the atmosphere. This is why the computer models predicted greatest warming at the top of the atmosphere over the tropics. The problem is the actual measurements show that is not happening."

In addition, the "global warming" that the world experienced during the 1990s and into this decade was experienced by every planet in the solar system. It was caused by the sun. Now that the sun has recently gone into a time of reduced sun spots, the world is now experiencing a time of global cooling.

But the facts never seemed to matter much to American politicians before. Why should they let the truth bother them now?

But even if global warming was caused by carbon dioxide (which it most definitely is not), the reality is that this bill will not cut carbon emissions. It will just drive jobs and businesses overseas to places like China where they have no limits on carbon emissions at all.

So this bill could actually cause carbon emissions to increase.

But the fragile American economy will be forced to endure much higher gasoline costs and massive job losses.
