While plenty of people around the world applauded the overthrowing of the dictator, Hosni Mubarak, many were cautiously optimistic. It's not that they questioned whether or not Mubarak was a horrible man who suppressed his people, but rather, their concern was that something worse was looming on the horizon?

One needs only to look around the globe, at who is being persecuted today, to see that “evil” is alive and well.

The goal of evil has always been to do away with the belief in God and one method for accomplishing such has been to do away with God's people. The purpose of the Holocaust was to rid the world of the people of God-- the Jews. Today we are seeing this same agenda rear its ugly head. However, it is just not the Jews who are God’s people, it is also the Christians.

The cries of the world after World War II were, “we will never forget” the cost of apathy for the mass slaughter of a certain group of people. Today, many have already forgotten what evil is capable of, if left unchecked. Many more have never been taught the lesson, to begin with. We are, once again, witnessing God’s people being slaughtered, and the world (including the west) is, once again, silent.

Just like how America was silent when millions of Jewish men, women and children were being herded into concentration camps to be murdered, it seems as though we are keeping our mouths shut, today, as were are seeing the up-tick in the slaughtering of Jews and Christians around the world.

During the past few weeks, Egypt has displayed an unprecedented level of persecution against the Christians. First, there was the burning down of a Christian (Coptic) Church, despite the fact that it had all the proper permits and obeyed the laws of not having any visible crosses or ringing bells.

After the Church was set ablaze, about 1,000 Christians in Egypt decided to have a peaceful march, and sit-in, in front of the state controlled television building. What happened next could be the beginning of the end, with respect to one's right to publicly display their Christian faith in Egypt.

The Egyptian army fired live ammunition into the crowds, and used its armored vehicles to jump onto sidewalks and mow down the Christian protesters. May of the victims’ bodies were mutilated and many of the dead bodies were riddled with bullets. So far twenty-six people were killed, and more are dying every day from their serious injuries. There are reports that anywhere between 250- 500 have been injured.

This is the same Egyptian army that, earlier in the year, allowed the Egyptian protesters to sit endless days in Tahrir Square without a single shot being fired or a single protester being killed (initially). The Egyptian army is now killing its own people; something they vowed they would never do. It is also being reported that, just before slaughtering the Christians, the Egyptian soldiers, much like Al-Qaeda terrorists, have begun yelling the rally cry, “Allah Akbar” which means “God is great”.

Analogous to the days of Nazi Germany, the Egyptian State TV is also proving to be anti-Christian, and has evolved into a full-fledged propaganda machine. As the events began to play out, the media actually urged Egyptians to help police in ridding the Christian protesters, portraying them as a violent mob, attacking the army and public property.

Soon afterwards, young men armed with sticks, rocks, swords and firebombs began to roam central Cairo, attacking Christians. Troops and riot police did nothing to stop the attacks.

In Egypt, Christians make up only 10% of the 85 million people. There has been as strong outcry from the Muslim Brotherhood, and other Islamic sects, for Egypt to become an Islamic state. Since the Egyptian Jews have mostly been done away with, the only people who stand in the way of bring this to fruition are the Christians.

In 1948, 75,000 Jews lived in Egypt. Today, there are about 100. There has been a mass exodus due to the persecution and anti-Semitism of Jews
This is not the first time Christians are being attacked, but by far, the most blazen. Since the removal of Mubarrak these attacks on Christians have esculated sharply.

In January, a suspected suicide bomber hit a church in Alexandria as Christians celebrated the new year, killing 23 people.

In March, thousands of Christians protested in front of the state television building after the torching of a church. Thirteen people were killed and 140 wounded in sectarian violence

In May, 12 people were killed and 52 wounded, in sectarian clashes, and in the burning of St. Mary's Church in the Cairo suburb of Imbaba.
This had occurred after rumors spread about how Christians were protecting a woman who had recently converted from Islam.

As a result of the increased persecution of Christians (since the overthrow of President Mubarak), Christians have been fleeing Egypt.  In a recent report, nearly 100,000 Christians have emigrated from Egypt since March 2011. This report also warned that this mass exodus has been prompted by the escalating intimidation and attacks on Christians by Islamists. There is fervor amongst this “new Egypt” to cleanse the country of Christians, just like they did the Jews.

Those that do not believe in the Judeo Christian God may not care about this rash of killings against Jews and Christians, however, not caring about a group of people who are being rounded up and killed for their beliefs, just because you're not a part of that group, has proven, historically, to be a very dangerous attitude, just as it did in the days of Nazi Germany.

Even if it is a group you fundamentally disagree with, or the massacre is happening thousands of miles of away, once evil has room to grow it will spread like wildfire and be hard to contain.

There was a prominent protestant pastor who first supported the Nazi regime, but then became an outspoken critic of Adolf Hitler. He later spent the last 7 years of his life in a concentration camp, during which, he wrote this poem about the dangerous cost of apathy.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me -- and there was no one left to speak for me.

There are two ways this apathy will play out; we will either let history repeat itself and stand idly by, because it does not affect us, or we will be the watchman on the wall sounding the warning bells that they are coming for God’s people.

America the Beautiful

Probably like most of you, our family spent this past July 4th celebrating the official birthday of the United States of America’s Independence. We were fortunate enough to go on a friend’s boat on Lake Michigan in Chicago to watch an amazing fireworks display. Unlike previous years, Chicago did not host this celebration. Similar too many other cities across the nation, Chicago cancelled their fireworks due to being financially broke.

As we watched the celebration and listened to patriotic music playing in the background, I found myself covered in goose bumps. I looked at my children, as they oohed and aahed, wondering if they understood the unique greatness of this country and how God has blessed it so. And, more importantly, if we fail to educate them on how we gained the freedom we celebrate every year, will it one day be no more?

The greatest concept in the history of civilization is that man should be morally free (not free without morals) and that no man, or anything else for that matter, should take that away from him. The further we get from this ideology the further we get from truth and freedom.

A recent Marist survey revealed that only fifty-eight percent of those polled knew that the United States declared its independence in 1776, and three out of four knew from which country we gained our independence. Not surprisingly, the younger the respondent, the less likely he or she was to know the answer.

A similar question is being raised by many, including a recent Time Magazine cover story, which asked whether or not our Constitution still matters? When Americans were asked how much they knew about the U.S. Constitution, sixty-seven percent responded that they only knew “some”.

Is it just a sign of the times and we are no longer interested in how we became a great nation? Or has there been an intentional “dumbing down” effort, carried out by the leaders of our educational system? Is it possible that, when we took God out of our schools, we also began taking away any remnant of God's handiwork? After all, if you can't teach about God, how can you teach about a God-inspired document, such as the US Constitution?

Rewriting History

In 2006, State Senator Obama visited Europe and the Middle East, where he made a series of speeches. Before his final speech, Obama stood next to Turkey's President and stated that in the US, "We do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation. We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values." Perhaps this is what recently led Michelle Obama to say that President Obama ”knows we are going to have to change our traditions and our history”. I wonder if some of that history-changing has to do with denying that our nation was founded on Judeo-Christian principles created by God-fearing men?

As cities decide to do away with Fourth of July celebrations we give rise, once again, to not celebrating what God has done for our country. The signing of the Declaration of Independence is arguably one of the greatest days in our nation’s history. These are not just my words, but the words of John Adams, a Founding Father. In anticipation of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, Adams wrote to his wife Abigail:

“The second day of July, 1776, will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more”.

Inherited By Our Creator

The United States Declaration of Independence was adopted by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, and gave rise to the United States Constitution. The Declaration announced that the thirteen original Colonies (then at war with Great Britain) were now independent states, and thus no longer a part of the British Empire.

The Declaration had 56 signers, which included a “Committee of Five”, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Robert R. Livingston and Roger Sherman. The signers of the Declaration of Independence were an intelligent, religious and ethically-minded group. Half of the men held seminary or Bible school degrees and four of the signers were current or former full-time preachers

One of the best-known sentences in American History is the preamble. This section states the ideas and ideals of the Declaration; that everyone has certain rights given to them by God. “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

The next section of the Declaration is often called the “right of revolution". It states that the government can only get their power from the people. If the government violates the rights of the people; then the people have not only the right, but the duty to "alter or abolish" that government and provide a new one for future security.

The next two sections are a list of charges against King George III. The Declaration states that he violated the people’s rights and was therefore unfit to be their Ruler. The King no longer made laws for the public good and got rid of those that did. He created a

multitude of new offices, officers and laws to harass the people and he imposed taxes without consent. The signers described their unsuccessful attempts to appeal to the Parliament of Great Britain.

The document’s last sentence ends just as powerfully as it begins, demonstrating the signers reliance on God, the Supreme Judge of the world, to know their moral conscience in creating this document. “And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.”

God Shed His Grace on Thee

The Founding Fathers were not all Christians or conservative in their theology, however they were all God-fearing. To take God out of the equation would in essence change our history.

As Patrick Henry once stated, “It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians”. John Adams reiterated this sentiment when he wrote to the Officers of the First Brigade, “Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other.”

Lastly, for many that believe that the separation of Church and State was to keep God out of the schools, let us read the prophetic words from the “Father of our Public Schools”, Benjamin Rush. “Let the children be carefully instructed in the principles and obligations of the Christian religion. This is the most essential part of education. The great enemy of the salvation of man, in my opinion, never invented a more effectual means of removing Christianity from the world than by persuading mankind it was improper to read the Bible in our Schools.”

The signers knew how powerful the Declaration of Independence was; so much so it may cost them their lives. After Congress signed the Declaration, John Hancock supposedly said they must now "all hang together" and Benjamin Franklin replied, "Yes, we must indeed all hang together, or most assuredly we shall all hang separately."

If our nation turns away from our founding documents, we turn away from what God ordained. Only God can give people the freedom to have life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, not the government (no matter how big it is). Our Founding Fathers were willing to hang for this truth. At the very least, we should be willing to hang onto this truth as well.

The 13-story, $100 million Islamic mosque that is slated to be built just two blocks from ground zero in New York City has been making a ton of national headlines over the past week, but the truth is that this is far from an isolated incident.  Islam is rapidly growing and is gaining tremendous influence inside the United States.  50 years ago, there were very few mosques inside the United States and Muslims were a very, very small minority.  But today all of that has changed.  Even as Christianity is losing millions of adherents in the United States, Islam is experiencing explosive growth.  The Council on American-Islamic Relations says that there are 7 million Muslims inside the United States in 2010, and huge new mosques are going up from coast to coast.  Each year, increasingly large numbers of Muslims immigrate to the United States both legally and illegally.  But Islam is not just growing through immigration.  All across America, substantial numbers of Americans are converting to Islam each year, and this is particularly true in U.S. prisons where radical Islam has found a ready-made pool of disaffected young men to exploit.  The danger signs are there.  Are we going to start paying attention to them?

The following are 12 signs that show the tremendous progress that radical Islam is making in America in 2010.... 

1 - According to Ihsan Bagby, a professor of Islamic Studies at the University of Kentucky, there were only approximately 1,200 mosques in the United States ten years ago.  Today there are approximately 1,900.

2 - An rapidly increasing number of U.S. public schools are actually adjusting their school calendars for the observance of Islamic holidays.

3 - Less than 100 feet from where it is said a plane hit the Pentagon on 9/11, Muslim military personnel bring prayer rugs and gather for group worship on weekday afternoons.

4 - Muslims now constitute approximately 10 percent of the total number of students in the New York City School District.

5 - A survey of Muslim Americans by the Pew Research Center in 2007 found that 39 percent of adult Muslims living inside the United States were immigrants that had arrived in the U.S. since 1990.

6 - In Dearborn, Michigan one high school football team has so many Muslim players that it has moved its two-a-day summer practice schedule to between 11 PM and 4 AM during Ramadan.  This was done so that the Muslim members of the team would not be forced to practice in the heat without drinking water.

7 - In the state of Maryland, Anne Arundel County recently decided to ban sporting events on the night before Islamic holidays.  They have also placed a ban on administering tests on the dates of Islamic holidays as well.

8 - In March, the opening prayer at the opening session of the Virginia General Assembly was delivered by a radical imam.

9 - Often funded with millions of dollars from overseas, a rapidly growing number of "mega-mosques" are being constructed in communities from coast to coast.

10 - Electronics retailer Best Buy now runs national ads which wish their customers a "Happy Eid al-Adha".

11 - At least one researcher claims that Muslim inmates now comprise 17-20% of the total U.S. prison population.

12 - Even the current occupant of the White House, Barack Obama, goes out of his way to say nice things about Islam.  Just consider the following list of glowing statements that Barack Obama has made about Islam that we documented in a recent article....

#1 "Islam has always been part of America"

#2 "we will encourage more Americans to study in Muslim communities"

#3 "These rituals remind us of the principles that we hold in common, and Islam’s role in advancing justice, progress, tolerance, and the dignity of all human beings."

#4 "America and Islam are not exclusive and need not be in competition. Instead, they overlap, and share common principles of justice and progress, tolerance and the dignity of all human beings."

#5 "So I have known Islam on three continents before coming to the region where it was first revealed"

#6 "Ramadan is a celebration of a faith known for great diversity and racial equality"

#7 "As a young man, I worked in Chicago communities where many found dignity and peace in their Muslim faith."

#8 "I look forward to hosting an Iftar dinner celebrating Ramadan here at the White House later this week, and wish you a blessed month."

#9 "That experience guides my conviction that partnership between America and Islam must be based on what Islam is, not what it isn't. And I consider it part of my responsibility as president of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear."

#10 "I also know that Islam has always been a part of America's story."

Meanwhile, Christians that attempt to express their faith and share the gospel of Jesus Christ with Muslims are increasingly being arrested and thrown in jail.  Just consider the following examples....

*Four Christians face fines of up to $500 each and up to 93 days in jail for sharing the gospel with Muslims on a public sidewalk outside of an Islamic street festival in Dearborn, Michigan.

*Two other Christians were arrested recently for sharing the gospel and singing hymns on a public sidewalk outside an Islamic mosque in the city of Philadelphia.

These Christians were simply exercising their free speech on a public sidewalk and they got thrown into prison for it.

It turns out that in America in 2010 it is much more important to protect Muslims from being offended than it is to allow Christians to exercise their constitutional rights.

The truth is that the spread of Islam inside the United States is not harmless.  In fact, radical Islamic groups are setting up training compounds from coast to coast and federal authorities don't seem to be doing anything about it.

For example, a video released by the Christian Action Network shows members of the "Muslims Of America" participating in paramilitary style training outside of their compound in upstate New York, near the town of Hancock.

The "Muslims of America" is the name that an organization known as Jamaat ul-Fuqra uses inside the United States. They are a militant jihadist organization based in Pakistan.

In the video posted below, you will see footage of members of Muslims in America being trained in throat-slitting techniques and in the use of assault weapons....

Oh, but it is so important for us to be "tolerant" of them and to let them conduct paramilitary training on our soil.

Meanwhile, it is getting to the point where if a Christian even tries to share the gospel with a Muslim they are thrown into jail.

What in the world is happening to the United States of America?

For decades, the United States has been thought of as a "Christian nation" around the globe.  But today that is dramatically changing - especially among America's young people.  The truth is that all of the recent polls tell us that Americans under 30 years of age are rejecting the Christian faith in unprecedented numbers.  In fact, what the numbers reveal is not a slow move away from the Christian faith.  Rather, they clearly portray a massive wave of young Americans running away from traditional Christianity as fast as they can.   

For example, a shocking new survey by LifeWay Christian Resources shows that the vast majority of young adults in America today do not go to church, do not pray and do not read the Bible.

Just consider a few of the results from this incredibly troubling survey of 18 to 29 year old Americans....

•65% rarely or never pray with others, and 38% almost never pray by themselves either.

•65% rarely or never attend worship services of any kind.

•67% don't read the Bible or any other religious texts on a regular basis.

That is a solid two-thirds of American young adults who don't even have the slightest connection to traditional Christianity.

Thom Rainer, the president of LifeWay Christian Resources, says that if the current trends continue, "the Millennial generation will see churches closing as quickly as GM dealerships."

The survey did find that 65% of those surveyed did call themselves "Christian", but among that 65%, "many are either mushy Christians or Christians in name only," Rainer says. "Most are just indifferent. The more precisely you try to measure their Christianity, the fewer you find committed to the faith."

But it just isn't this latest survey that is showing a mass exodus from the Christian faith by America's young people.

According to a recent survey by America's Research Group, 95 percent of 20 to 29 year old evangelical Christians attended church regularly during their elementary school and middle school years. However, only 55 percent of those young evangelical Christians still attended church regularly during high school, and only 11 percent of them were still regularly attending church when they went to college.

Only 11 percent.

And that was among self-identified evangelical Christians.

But the most recent American Religious Identification Survey conducted by the Institute for the Study of Secularism in Society & Culture at Trinity College was perhaps even more shocking.

According to that survey, 15% of Americans now say they have "no religion" - which is up from 8% in 1990.  However, what was much more disturbing was that 46% of Americans between the ages of 18 to 34 indicated that they had no religion in the survey.

46 percent.

That is not just a trend.

That is not just a landslide.

That is a mass exodus.

Today there is a mass exodus of America's young people from the traditional Christian faith.  There is simply no getting around it.

Another recent by the Barna group showed that less than 1 percent of all Americans between the ages of 18 and 23 hold a Biblical worldview.

So what is a Biblical worldview?

Well, the Barna survey defined someone as holding "a Biblical worldview" if they agreed to the following six key beliefs:

1) Believing that absolute moral truth exists.
2) Believing that the Bible is completely accurate in all of the principles it teaches.
3) Believing that Satan is considered to be a real being or force, not merely symbolic.
4) Believing that a person cannot earn their way into Heaven by trying to be good or by doing good works.
5) Believing that Jesus Christ lived a sinless life on earth.
6) Believing that God is the all-knowing, all-powerful creator of the world who still rules the universe today.

Using those six criteria, less than 1 percent of Americans between the ages of 18 and 23 hold a Biblical worldview.

The implications of this are staggering.

The truth is that the United States is quickly becoming a highly secularized nation.  Europe has already been down this road, and now America is rapidly following.

Hundreds (perhaps thousands) of churches will close as people simply quit going.  Large numbers of Christian ministries, radio stations, television shows and book stores will have to shut their doors because there will not be nearly enough people to support them.

But the most frightening thing of all is that we are losing almost an entire generation to the world.  Never before in U.S history has an entire generation rejected the gospel as much as this one has. 

America's young people are rejecting the Christian faith, and yet the Christian establishment keeps running around and telling everyone that everything is fine.

Everything is NOT fine. 

The Church in America is broken.  It is very rare to find a church where authentic Christianity is being practiced anymore.  Our young people are not stupid.  They know what is real and what is not.  If the Church in America would repent and turn back to real, authentic Christianity at least we would have a chance of capturing the attention of those young Americans who are honestly looking for the truth.

But it is not all the fault of the Church.  The truth is that we have created a society where children are taught that Christianity is not important.  Our public schools teach our children day after day after day that they evolved from monkeys, that abortion, sex before marriage and homosexuality are perfectly moral and that anyone who disagrees is a bigot.  Then they go home and they are surrounded by entertainment for the rest of the day (television, radio, video games, Internet, movies) and the overwhelming message regarding the Christian faith in these forms of entertainment is that either Christianity is irrelevant, not true or should be openly mocked.

So should we be surprised when the overwhelming majority of them reject the Christian faith?  Should we expect anything else?

We have raised our children in the godless society that we have constructed and now we are so surprised that they are godless.

But nobody should be surprised.

We are just reaping what we have sown.

What Does The Bible Say About Salvation?

Under the health care reform bill that the Democrats are cramming down the throats of the American people, will all Americans be required to purchase health insurance?  No.  It turns out that there is a "religious conscience" exemption in the health care reform bill that will enable the Amish, as well as a number of other religious groups, to opt out of the mandate to purchase health insurance.  So will the rest of us be able to get in on this action?

This "religious conscience" exemption is in both the House and the Senate versions of the health care reform bill.  Thus it is almost certain to make it into the final version of the bill unless there are some dramatic last minute objections.

So why do the Amish want to be able to opt out of this system?  Well, the reality is that most Amish are disgusted by any type of government assistance.  In most Amish societies, families and neighbors take care of one another.  The thought of participating in a government-run health care system is totally repugnant to them.

But it is not only the Amish that will benefit from this provision.  Other groups such as Old Order Mennonites and Christian Scientists could benefit as well.

So what about the rest of us?

Can the rest of us get in on this action?

If the Amish can opt out of the requirement to purchase health insurance, they why can't average, hard-working Americans?

Or do we need to invent a religion first?

If so, here are a few potential ideas for new religions which might work.....

*The "I grew a beard so I am Amish too" social club

*The "Being conservative is a religion because every day we pray that Obama will get voted out in 2012" 12-step group

As world leaders prepare to converge on the U.N. climate change convention in Copenhagen next week, the belief in global warming and climate change is increasingly becoming less science and more religion.  In fact, Al Gore himself, the one being called the "eco-prophet" and "the Moses of this generation" recently admitted as much.  In his new book, "Our Choice: A Plan to Solve the Climate Crisis", Gore focuses on the "spiritual side" of fighting global warming.  As far as allowing the science to persuade people about the threat of global warming goes, Gore puts it very bluntly in his book: "Simply laying out the facts won't work."  Why won't laying out the facts work?  Well, the truth is that as Climategate has revealed, the science is not on the side of the global warming extremists, so blind faith must be called for.

For those not familiar with Climategate, essentially what happened is that hacked emails and documents from the University of East Anglia’s Hadley Climate Research Unit were posted on the Internet which prove that many of the key scientists involved in the theory of global warming conspired to falsify climate data in order to prop up the premise that mankind is causing climate change.  A great summary of this unfolding scandal can be found here.

Why did they did those scientists have to falsify the data?

Why?

But Climategate is not about to stop Barack Obama from heading to Copenhagen.  In fact, world leaders from all over the globe will soon be pouring in to Copenhagen ready to sign a treaty that will pledge their nations to make deep sacrifices in order to fight the threat of climate change.  The Copenhagen Treaty will give an as yet unnamed U.N. body the power to directly intervene in the financial, economic, tax and environmental affairs of all the nations in order to fight the threat of climate change.  It would represent a gigantic step towards world government.  In fact, United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon recently wrote an editorial in the New York Times that openly declared that "global governance" is needed to fight the threat of global warming.

In his editorial, Ban Ki-moon made the following very disturbing statements.....

"All agree that climate change is an existential threat to humankind."

"A deal must include an equitable global governance structure."

"All countries must have a voice in how resources are deployed and managed."

Sorry Ban Ki-moon, but all do not agree.

In fact, the whole Climategate scandal has revealed that the top global warming scientists have been deliberately lying to us.

In response to Climategate, White House Spokesman Robert Gibbs stated that for the Obama administration it really does not change anything.....

"In the order of several thousand scientists have come to the conclusion that climate change is happening," Gibbs told reporters. "I don’t think that any of that is, quite frankly among most people, in dispute."

But it is not just the denial of good science that makes global warming like a religion.  The truth is that global warming extremism has now essentially become a religion.

In fact, one judge in the U.K. has issued an opinion giving belief in global warming the status of a religion.  Just check out what Justice Michael Burton wrote.....

"A belief in man-made climate change, and the alleged resulting moral imperatives, is capable, if genuinely held, of being a philosophical belief for the purpose of the 2003 Religion and Belief Regulations. The belief must be of a similar cogency or status to a religious belief, the ECHR jurisprudence is directly material and the limitations on the concept and extent of a philosophical belief can be derived from that, without the need to place any additional limitation on the nature or source of the belief."

In addition, many of the world's most prominent religious leaders have expressed their belief in global warming and in the importance of trying to stop climate change.  The Dalai Lama himself now says that the world's leaders must give the highest priority to the issue of global warming.  Earlier this month Pope Benedict told a United Nations world food summit that "the Earth can sufficiently feed all of its inhabitants" despite the "devastation" caused by global warming.  The World Council of Churches is calling on churches around the world to ring their bells 350 times during the Copenhagen climate change summit as a call to action on global warming.

Not only that, but some of the top environmental extremists associated with the U.N. actually want to equate the battle against global warming with religion.  According to a paper written two years ago to influence the future strategy of the United Nations Environmental Program, environmentalism should be considered to be on the same level with religion as it is "the only compelling, value-based narrative available to humanity."

But nobody is doing more to equate global warming with religion than Al Gore is.  Already dubbed "the eco-prophet" by environmental extremists, Al Gore is stressing the "spiritual side" of climate change in his new book.

In fact, Gore has developed specific environmental training programs for each of the major world religions.

Newsweek quotes Gore as saying the following regarding these training programs.....

"I've done a Christian [-based] training program; I have a Muslim training program and a Jewish training program coming up, also a Hindu program coming up. I trained 200 Christian ministers and lay leaders here in Nashville in a version of the slide show that is filled with scriptural references."

The truth is that belief in global warming is quickly becoming a global religious movement.  Those without blind faith need not apply.  A global treaty is about to be signed which will impose strict regulations on the lives of every man, woman and child on the planet to fight a threat which the science says simply is not there.  To question this insanity is to risk being branded as a heretic by the environmental extremists that control the United Nations and most of the governments around the world. 

The fight against global warming is now part of the official orthodoxy of the 21st century.  To question it is to question the very world system that we are all a part of.  The global elite intends to use this belief system to impose tyrannical regulations on the entire planet all in the name of saving the earth.
