In America today, there is an all-out attack on the values that this country was founded upon. Many of the people that are involved in these attacks actually claim to “love America” and yet they viciously attack the values and the principles that were foundational to what early Americans believed. In particular, there are two documents that were greatly cherished in early America that are being relentlessly assaulted today: the U.S. Constitution and the Bible. In colleges and universities all over America, students are being taught that these documents are “flawed” and that they need to “evolve” as society changes. Those teaching this philosophy honestly believe that modern values are far superior to the values found in those documents. They are convinced that it is foolish to be “bound” by the wisdom of the past. That is why they love to refer to the U.S. Constitution as a “living, breathing document”. They believe that they should be able to “reinterpret” the Constitution without going through the hassle of the formal amendment process. And of course we have seen courts do this over and over again in recent years. When they feel it is necessary, our politicians and our courts will even (Read More....)
The thought police are watching you. Back in the 1990s, lots of jokes were made about “political correctness”, and almost everybody thought they were really funny. Unfortunately, very few people are laughing now because political correctness has become a way of life in America. If you say the “wrong thing” you could lose your job or you could rapidly end up in court. Every single day, the mainstream media bombards us with subtle messages that make it clear what is “appropriate” and what is “inappropriate”, and most Americans quietly fall in line with this unwritten speech code. But just because it is not written down somewhere does not mean that it isn’t real. In fact, this speech code becomes more restrictive and more suffocating with each passing year. The goal of the “thought Nazis” is to control what people say to one another, because eventually that will shape what most people think and what most people believe. If you don’t think this is true, just try the following experiment some time. Go to a public place (Read More....)
How stupid are American high school students today? Unfortunately, the truth is that our government schools are doing a worse job than most parents would dare to imagine. Not only are most of our high school students completely unprepared for college, the reality is that most of them have not even been equipped with the necessary skills that they need to function at a very basic level in the real world. Today, a surprising number of high school students are simply unable to fill out a job application, write a readable essay or balance a checkbook. If you can believe it, 18.6 percent of all men between the ages of 25 and 34 still live with their parents. In America today there are millions of children that have never grown up. Our government schools have failed them and we have failed them. They are spoiled, lazy and have very few skills to contribute to society. It is a national disgrace.
According to a survey conducted a while back by the National Geographic Society, only 37 percent of all Americans between the ages of 18 and 24 can find the nation of Iraq on a (Read More....)
So I’m sitting in an average size living room watching a couple of people texting each other rather than carry on a conversation. Isn’t that weird?
Apparently it’s becoming common practice. Texting is everywhere.
Why is it that a growing number of people prefer to text rather than converse, or to make phone calls, or to even leave voice messages?
And why is it that ever since texting has become the preferred one-way method of distance communications (anything beyond 2 feet), no one but old fashioned fools bother to directly answer their phones anymore?
Well I had a hunch but I decided to do a little internet research concerning texting vs. talk. The many comments I read confirmed my suspicions.
Here are some of the top reasons people prefer to text:
“It’s more straight and to the point.”
“I can ignore or respond at my own leisure.”
“It is so much more easily accomplished through a few words of text without all the niceties and formalities of a phone call!”
“Texting is direct, to the point without the small talk involved in phone conversation.”
We all know that American Idol has become the most important thing in the lives of millions of Americans, but some people take their obsession with the show way, way too far. The truth is that it is absolutely frightening how seriously some people take a simple television show. In fact, one mother’s epic tirade after learning that Crystal Bowersox lost to Lee DeWyze in the American Idol finale is quickly becoming a YouTube legend.
If you have not seen the video posted below yet, you have got to watch it. Yes, it is extremely funny in one sense, but it is also an incredibly sad commentary on just how far we have fallen as a nation….
Bill Clinton has discovered a truly unique way of raising money to pay off his wife’s campaign debts. He is raffling off the opportunity to spend a day with him. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Bill Clinton is now a lottery prize.
He has sent an email to millions of people who supported Hillary Clinton’s campaign in 2008 that asks this question:
“How would you like the chance to come up to New York and spend the day with me?”
Doesn’t that sound cozy?
Reportedly, an online donation of as little as $5 gets you into the lottery.
Considering the fact that Hillary’s campaign debt is now down to $771,000, and considering the fact that her campaign has approximately $624,000 in the bank, it is not as if the Clintons need this money so badly.
Or maybe this is just a way for Bill to meet chicks.
The people who brought you “The Great Swine Flu Scare Of 2009″ now want to bring you “The Great Global Health Tax Of 2010″. The World Health Organization is actually considering a plan to ask governments all over the globe to impose a global consumer tax on such things as Internet activity and everyday financial transactions like paying bills online.
Seriously.
Apparently the goal of such a plan would be to raise “tens of billions of dollars” which would then be used to “transfer” pharmaceutical research, development and manufacturing capabilities to the developing world.
Transfer them from where?
Places like the United States?
So let’s get this straight.
According to the WHO global tax plan, they want to do the following three things….
#1) Take away research, development and manufacturing jobs from us and give them to the developing world at a time when we can least afford it.
#2) Give much more money and power to the idiots who brought us the global swine flu scare of 2009.
#3) Make us pay for all of it.
The World Health Organization’s ”Expert Working Group” is also thinking of asking wealthy nations such (Read More....)
