I wish I had some good news for you. But I don't. The U.S. health care system is a complete and total disaster and it is going to get a lot worse in the years ahead. Even before Obamacare it was projected that we were going to be facing a shortage of more than 100,000 doctors by the year 2025, and now hundreds of thousands more doctors are thinking of leaving the profession because of Obamacare. Also thanks to Obamacare, health care costs and health insurance premiums are rising faster than ever and yet the level of care continues to decline. Our health care system is now totally dominated by government bureaucrats, health insurance companies and pharmaceutical corporations. The truth is that the entire industry has become a giant money making scam, and the American people are being squeezed for every last penny. We spend far more for health care than anyone else in the world, and the results are pathetic at best.
The following are 11 signs that the U.S. health care system is heading straight down the toilet....
#1 The Coming Doctor Shortage
The U.S. health care system is facing a critical shortage of doctors in the years ahead.
It is absolutely mind blowing that any Republican would ever consider casting a single vote for Newt Gingrich. The truth is that Newt Gingrich is not a real conservative. He isn't even close. After he left Congress, he spent years portraying himself as a "progressive" and he devoted a lot of time and resources to promoting liberal causes. But now that he is running for office as a Republican again, all of a sudden he is trying to sound like a conservative. And it is fooling a whole lot of people. One recent poll had his support up to 38 percent. But a Gingrich administration would be a total disaster for America. A Gingrich administration would essentially be just about the same as a second Obama administration. That is how liberal Newt Gingrich is. Gingrich is a big time RINO ("Republican in name only") that is so liberal that he should actually be in the other political party. If you believe that Newt Gingrich is a real conservative and you plan to vote for him, then you are being incredibly foolish.
So what is so wrong with Newt Gingrich?
Well, for one he is for an individual health care mandate.
Republicans are supposed to be against Obamacare, and yet a huge percentage of them are supporting a candidate that was pushing an (Read More....)
As you read this, there are not enough doctors and hospitals for everyone in America. But thanks to the health care bill that Barack Obama and the Democrats rammed down the throats of the American people, that shortage is about to get a whole lot worse. The truth is that the new health care law is going to force many doctors out of the system and it is already forcing the cancellation of many planned doctor-owned hospitals. What you are going to read below will frighten you. It should. It is the truth and it isn't pretty. The U.S. health care system is about to undergo a radical transformation, and a lot of people are going to be really upset about what happens.
Even without the new health care law, the U.S. medical industry was already looking at a shortage of doctors in the coming years. According to the Association of American Medical Colleges, the United States will likely face a shortage of as many as 150,000 doctors in the next 15 years.
But that shortage does not even factor in the large number of doctors that are going to leave the industry because of the new health care law.
Most of you know by now that the U.S. House of Representatives has passed the health care reform bill and has sent it to Barack Obama to be signed into law. The government takeover of the health care system will soon be complete and the earliest it will have any chance of being repealed is after the 2012 elections, because Obama will veto any bill that seeks to repeal Obamacare.
It is a sad day for the American people and it is a sad day for America.
But at least there were a few brave members of Congress that fought to the bitter end. One of them was U.S. Rep. John Boehner. Boehner made an impassioned plea on the floor of the House in an effort to sway votes, but it was not enough. However, this speech by Boehner on the floor of the House on the eve of the vote will go down in history as one of the most memorable moments of this entire health care debate. You have got to check this out....
How in the world can a rational group of human beings put together a piece of legislation this bad? The more that we learn about the health care reform bill, the more horrific it gets. This bill gives the U.S. government not only unprecedented control over our health care, but also unprecedented control over the most intimate details of our lives as well. While some are trumpeting this bill as the "government takeover of health care", the reality is that is only a small part of the story. The truth is that the health care reform bill represents a move by the U.S. government to literally take over our entire lives.
Do you think that we are being too dramatic? Just watch the video posted below. Someone out there has taken the time to break down section after section of this nightmare bill and explain what it is going to mean for America and for each of us individually. We challenge anyone to watch this video and then try to explain to us how our lives are going to be better after this bill passes....
Under the health care reform bill that the Democrats are cramming down the throats of the American people, will all Americans be required to purchase health insurance? No. It turns out that there is a "religious conscience" exemption in the health care reform bill that will enable the Amish, as well as a number of other religious groups, to opt out of the mandate to purchase health insurance. So will the rest of us be able to get in on this action?
This "religious conscience" exemption is in both the House and the Senate versions of the health care reform bill. Thus it is almost certain to make it into the final version of the bill unless there are some dramatic last minute objections.
So why do the Amish want to be able to opt out of this system? Well, the reality is that most Amish are disgusted by any type of government assistance. In most Amish societies, families and neighbors take care of one another. The thought of participating in a government-run health care system is totally repugnant to them.
But it is not only the Amish that will benefit from this provision. Other groups such as Old Order Mennonites and Christian Scientists could benefit as well.
So what about the rest of us?
Can the rest of us get in on this action?
If the Amish can opt out of the requirement to purchase health insurance, they why can't average, hard-working (Read More....)
Most Americans who support the health care reform bills currently being rammed through Congress believe that this process will result in Americans receiving universal health care that is cheaper, more efficient and that gives all of us more choices. But that is not the case at all. Rather, Americans will soon have much fewer health choices which are much less efficient and for which they will end up paying much more for. In fact, there are a ton of really nasty surprises for the American people in the health care reform bill. The following are 10 of the nastiest of the surprises....
#1) All Americans will be forced to buy health insurance. If you don't like the new system, that is too bad for you. If you don't pay up, you will be heavily fined and you could ultimately end up in prison. There will simply be no escape from participating in this health care system until you die.
#2) Americans will have basically two places from which to get health coverage - either their workplaces or from "insurance exchanges" set up by the government. If you are not employed, you will have one choice.
#3) Americans will have much fewer health plan choices under the new system. The new "insurance exchanges" that the government is (Read More....)
Remember the days when Americans could freely contract with private health insurers for whatever level of health coverage that they wanted for themselves and their families? Those days are over. In the health care bill being rammed through the U.S. Senate, Americans are given 4 health care plan templates from which they must choose and 2 places from which they can get that coverage (either their workplace or from a state-based "insurance exchange"). You see, this is the new socialist America - where health care choices are limited and where conformity is required.
4 Health Care Plan Templates
Many Americans who are supporting the health care reform bill are excited because they think that finally all Americans will get the health care coverage that they want.
But unless what all Americans "want" is contained in the four standardized U.S. government health plan templates that is most definitely not going to be the case.
You see, private health insurers will still be involved in offering health insurance under the new plan, but their health plans will be required to meet the standards set forth by the U.S. government templates. The New York Post puts it this way.....
