According to a National Geographic survey, 77 percent of all Americans “believe there are signs that aliens have visited Earth”, and according to a recent Harris poll only 68 percent of all Americans believe that Jesus is God or the Son of God. That means that the number of Americans that believe that UFOs have visited us is now greater than the number of Americans that believe what the Bible has to say about Jesus Christ. With each passing year, the frequency of UFO sightings seems to keep increasing, as does the number of movies, television shows and video games featuring aliens and extraterrestrial life. Sometimes our cameras can see what human eyes cannot. Could what you are looking at actually be a photo of a real angel? At a recent Promise Keepers conference in Cedar Falls, Iowa a Baptist pastor took two photographs of the stage during a time of praise and worship. Both of those photos show “a radiant, glowing white figure” that was not supposed to be there and that could not be seen with the naked eye. At the time these photos were taken, the band on the stage was singing these words: “Jesus, take all of me. I run to you, I run to you. I lay everything at your feet. Let my life be yours.” Could it be possible that the camera picked up an angel that was standing on the stage during that time of praise and worship? Could this picture actually be physical evidence that angels really exist? Or could this phenomenon have been caused by something else? Even though he claims to be a Christian, throughout his political career Obama has repeatedly attacked traditional Biblical Christianity and he has a very long history of anti-Christian actions. In public speeches he has repeatedly cast doubt on the Bible, he has repeatedly stated that he does not believe that Jesus is necessary for salvation, and he has consistently said that he believes that all “people of faith” believe in the same God. At the same time, Obama has always referred to Muhammed as “the Prophet”, he has always expressed great love and respect for Islam, and he has even removed all references to Islam from terror training materials used by federal government agencies. In Syria, Christians, Jews and Muslims of all types have been living fairly peacefully with one another for centuries, but the Syrian “rebels” want to change all that. The truth is that the “rebels” have no interest in “freedom” or “democracy” whatsoever. Rather, they are hardcore Sunni jihadists that intend to set up a government that will force the entire nation to go under sharia law. Christians and Jews will be forced to convert to Sunni Islam, flee for their lives, or be killed. A large percentage of the “Syrian rebels” are actually foreigners, and Islamic leaders all over the Middle East are urging fighting men to go to Syria and “wage jihad” against the Assad regime. Should we be concerned that some Americans are putting Barack Obama up on the same level as Jesus Christ? Should we be alarmed when a famous actor refers to “our Lord and Savior Barack Obama” on national television or when a prominent artist depicts Obama wearing a crown of thorns? What should we think when authors write books about “Apostle Barack” or groups of school children sing songs about how wonderful he is? It is very dangerous when national leaders start to become objects of national worship. This is the kind of thing that happens in North Korea – not in the United States of America. When we put men up on a pedestal, pretty soon we find ourselves going along with whatever they say even when we know that it is wrong. It is fine to admire, respect and support our politicians if that is what you choose to do. But when the line is crossed and we start giving any politician the kind of praise and worship that only God should receive, there is a big problem. Barack Obama is not Jesus. He is just a man.
