In certain environments, conservatives often find themselves alone, dealing with a kind of alienation due to their political belief system. An academic Study that was co-authored by the Universities of Southern California and Virginia indicated that, while many conservatives understand the general liberal mindset, the same does not hold true for liberals when it comes to conservatism.
1. Ideology. Conservatives often face the fact that liberals do not seem to want to know what is behind their ideology. Thus, perceived notions, taken from media sound bites, are the order of the day. Often, gross stereotypes are portrayed of conservatives including homophobia, xenophobia, racism and judgmental bigotry. It is assumed that all conservatives wish is to ensure that the wealthy become more rich and that the poor and sick should die as quickly as possible.
2. Liberal bigotry. The frustrations that conservatives face regularly due to their political beliefs is in itself, a form of bigotry that is based upon ignorance. For example, in some instances, the participants in the UVA Study of over 2,000 Americans, were instructed to fill out their surveys as though they were a “typical” conservative or liberal.
America's national debt is exploding out of control, and still most politicians in Washington D.C. don't really seem that interested in doing anything about it. Why? Well, the truth is that if the U.S. government reduces government spending that will slow down the economy, and if the economy slows down then Americans will blame the politicians, and if Americans are angry at the politicians then they will be less likely to vote them back into office. So we actually have a system where our politicians have an incentive not to do anything about the national debt. Meanwhile, the exploding debt continues to become a colossal long-term problem that threatens to destroy not only our economy, but our entire way of life. The federal budget deficit has topped $1 trillion with three months still to go in the current budget year. It is projected that the final budget deficit for 2010 will be somewhere in the neighborhood of 1.3 to 1.5 trillion dollars. But can we really afford to keep having deficits that are over a trillion dollars every single year?
The U.S. government has been so negligent when it comes to illegal immigration that it has created a law enforcement crisis of unprecedented proportions in many areas of the southwest United States. Authorities in Arizona are now openly admitting that Mexican drug cartels totally control some areas of the state. Local police are outgunned, outmanned and are increasingly being shot by Mexican drug smugglers. Yet the U.S. government continues to do nothing to secure the border. The truth is that our insane immigration policy makes legal immigration incredibly difficult but does next to nothing to stop all the gang members, serial criminals, drug smugglers and terrorists that are regularly crossing the Mexican border whenever they want.

The 2010 elections are quickly becoming the most anticipated mid-term elections in modern American history. A little over a year ago, the American people gave the Democrats control of the House, the Senate and the White House. But now public opinion has swung dramatically against the Democrats.
Why?
As the video posted below explains, the American people are sick of the bailouts, sick of the spending, sick of the government takeovers, sick of the unemployment, sick of the corruption, sick of the socialism and sick of politicians not listening to concerns about health care reform.

Under the health care reform bill that the Democrats are cramming down the throats of the American people, will all Americans be required to purchase health insurance? No. It turns out that there is a "religious conscience" exemption in the health care reform bill that will enable the Amish, as well as a number of other religious groups, to opt out of the mandate to purchase health insurance. So will the rest of us be able to get in on this action?
This "religious conscience" exemption is in both the House and the Senate versions of the health care reform bill. Thus it is almost certain to make it into the final version of the bill unless there are some dramatic last minute objections.
So why do the Amish want to be able to opt out of this system? Well, the reality is that most Amish are disgusted by any type of government assistance. In most Amish societies, families and neighbors take care of one another. The thought of participating in a government-run health care system is totally repugnant to them.
But it is not only the Amish that will benefit from this provision. Other groups such as Old Order Mennonites and Christian Scientists could benefit as well.
So what about the rest of us?

Barack Obama's own website recently had an article that referred to opponents of Obamacare as "right-wing domestic terrorists". Fortunately the article was quickly taken down once an uproar over it erupted, but the reality that such demonization of millions of peaceful Americans would occur on Obama's own website is more than a little troubling.
The website, "Organizing For America", is regularly used by Obama and his staff to rally his supporters to take action in support of the administration's agenda. For anyone in Obama's organization to equate conservatives, Republicans and opponents of Obamacare with al-Qaeda and other murderous terrorists is something to be taken very, very seriously.
After all, what happens to terrorists? Well, they are rounded up off the streets, detained in secret locations with no rights and they are tortured and abused for months or even years in an effort to extract information from them.
Is that what should happen to you for objecting to Obamacare?
The reality is that the inflammatory rhetoric by the left has gotten way, way, way out of control.
