The US makes up most of the UN forces, and force is what it comes down to. We are, and have been, and will more than likely continue to be the worlds most dominant military force. And honestly, unless china and russia decide to enforce this treaty, in the large scheme of things it means nothing. Exactly what about said treaty would prevent the us from disregarding it? It amazes me even more how the media will not say a word about this to the public. There is no discussion, no debate, total silence. In a number of years we may look back on this time as a period when we went mad, but if we sign this thing without dabate or discussion, we may forever regret it. I also beleive that once the public finally wakes up to how the wool was pulled over their eyes, we may be looking at a one term President.
