Members Of The U.S. Military May Be Court-Martialed For Sharing The Gospel

The U.S. military has officially banned the gospel of Jesus Christ.  As crazy as that sounds, it is actually true.  In a written statement, the Pentagon told Fox News that “religious proselytization is not permitted within the Department of Defense” and that “court martials and non-judicial punishments are decided on a case-by-case basis and it would be inappropriate to speculate on the outcome in specific cases”.  And a consultant that has been brought in to help the Pentagon develop new policies on religious tolerance says that sharing the gospel with someone else is like “rape” and that he would like to see “hundreds of prosecutions to stop this outrage”.  His name is Mikey Weinstein, and he is the president of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation.  In the past, he has described Christians as “human monsters” and “enemies of the United States Constitution“.  He says that sharing the gospel in the military is “sedition and treason” and should be punished as such.  Why in the world would such a man be brought in to advise the Pentagon about religious tolerance?  Sadly, all of this is just part of a larger trend of animosity by the U.S. military toward Christians and the gospel.

Once upon a time, faith had a very prominent place in the U.S. military.  But now it is rapidly becoming one of the most anti-Christian institutions in the entire country.

I would like to know who decided to bring in one of the most rabid atheists in America to help establish new policies for religion in the military.  Just check out what Mikey Weinstein told Fox News the other day…

“If a member of the military is proselytizing in a manner that violates the law, well then of course they can be prosecuted,” he said. “We would love to see hundreds of prosecutions to stop this outrage of fundamentalist religious persecution.”

He compared the act of proselytizing to rape.

“It is a version of being spiritually raped and you are being spiritually raped by fundamentalist Christian religious predators,” he told Fox News.

Telling someone about Jesus is like raping them?

Weinstein also says that Christians that talk to others about their faith in the military are “die-hard enemies” of the Constitution…

“We MUST vigorously support the continuing efforts to expose pathologically anti-gay, Islamaphobic, and rabidly intolerant agitators for what they are: die-hard enemies of the United States Constitution. Monsters, one and all.”

Well, what is typically done to “die-hard enemies of the United States Constitution” that are guilty of “treason“?

Traditionally, treason carried with it a death sentence.  Under common law, that included “drawing, hanging, beheading, and quartering“.

So precisely what is Mikey Weinstein proposing should be done with members of the U.S. military that share their faith in Jesus with others?

Weinstein’s anti-Christian tirades are reminiscent of the kinds of things that were said by Hitler and other Nazi leaders during their reign of terror in Germany.

For instance, the head of the Hitler Youth, Boldur von Schirach, once made the following statement

“Destruction of Christianity was explicitly recognized as a purpose of the National Socialist Movement”

Frighteningly, there seems to be just as much hatred behind the things that Weinstein is saying.  The following is from a recent Breitbart report

“Today, we face incredibly well-funded gangs of fundamentalist Christian monsters who terrorize their fellow Americans by forcing their weaponized and twisted version of Christianity upon their helpless subordinates in our nation’s armed forces.”

Those words were recently written by Mikey Weinstein, founder of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF), in a column he wrote for the Huffington Post. Weinstein will be a consultant to the Pentagon to develop new policies on religious tolerance, including a policy for court-martialing military chaplains who share the Christian Gospel during spiritual counseling of American troops.

Weinstein decries what he calls the “virulent religious oppression” perpetrated by conservative Christians, whom he refers to as “monstrosities” and “pitiable unconstitutional carpetbaggers,” comparing them to “bigots” in the Deep South during the civil rights era.

But of course all of this is just part of a larger trend.

It was recently revealed that a U.S. Army Reserve equal opportunity training presentation included “Evangelical Christianity” on a list of “extremist organizations” that also included al-Qaeda, Hamas and the Ku Klux Klan.  For much more on this, please see my previous article entitled “All Over America Evangelical Christians Are Being Labeled As ‘Extremists’ And ‘Hate Groups’“.

If the U.S. military and the American people listen to people like Mikey Weinstein and start treating Christians as “human monsters” and “enemies of the United States Constitution“, what will the end result be?

The first step to persecuting any group of people is to demonize them.  That is exactly what is being done to Christians right now.

But no matter how many laws they try to pass, I will never stop sharing the gospel.

What about you?  Will you allow the government to stop you from sharing your faith?  Please feel free to post a comment with your thoughts below…

As with all of your articles that describe the anti Christian movement in America today, this one makes me fear for the future of Utah. The Deep South as well, but I live in Utah. Utah is the most religiously homogeneous state in the nation with something like 58% of it’s population as LDS. The LDS are Christian so would of course be included in anything anti Christian that the government did. Not to mention, the LDS are encouraged to have 6 months to a year of food storage, i.e become preppers. You once wrote an article about how the government is targeting preppers. I guess I can always hope that the government just says “those crazy Mormons aren’t Christian” the way many critics of the Church do.

LDS are not Christian. Whoever told you that is lying to you.

      • Bad Kitty Cat

That isn’t really the point… “Christian” to those outside the faith is any church that has the word “Jesus” in their beliefs. Honestly, I think ALL Christian groups have cause for concern!

      • Hammerstrike

Those evil, commie mormons will eat your children!

It’s cause America is Communist China’s colony

I’m really glad to see this. It’s about time.

  • It is the best wake up call for Christians I have seen in a generation. If you tell someone that they cannot do something, most Americans will try to do it.
Take cigarettes as an example. The best marketing campaign ever produced was an anti-smoke campaign by little old Christian ladies in the seventh grade. They went around all the schools proclaiming the evil of smoking. Naturally all the kids decided to try it. It was produced by scientists that know all about human nature for the Tobacco Companies in the 50s.

We need to weed out the idiots at the Pentagon. Anyone coming up with an anti-Christian campaign with orders like this needs to go into retirement right now. I would suggest that they be checked for dementia.
The biggest enemy that Christianity has always dealt with is indifference. People just do not want to get involved. Apathy is rampant in our younger groups.
Telling Americans they cannot do something is the best way to get them to do it.

  • 2 Timothy chapter 3 and Mathew 24 are the times we live in read deuteronomy 28 as well. I am really shocked thing aren’t more worse than they are already with the serious of economic collapse coming and the fall of the dollar will lead to revelation 13. Watch Jesus said for you do not no what hour your Lord will come…for my coming will be like a thief in the night….and so as Yeshua said it will come as a snare upon the whole world. and as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: They ate, they drank they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise as it was also in the days of lot: They ate, they drank they bought, they sold they planted they built; but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed. you can escape all this Jesus said Repent for the kingdom of heaven is near ( turn away from you sin have a change of mind about ) For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and Paul says in Romans there is no good thing that dwells within me, all our righteousnes is as filthy rags to God….So he who knew no sin became sin for us that through him we may become the righteousness of God…..and if any man be in Christ he is a new creation old things have passed away behold all things have become new. Paul said in Romans that if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart God raised him from the dead you will be saved for it is with your mouth you confess and are saved, and with your heart you believe and are justified. ask him to forgive you today He loves you!

Very sobering to know the end is truly coming right before our eyes. It is with joy and anticipation that we receive these news, because we know WHO reigns and WHO is coming back soon. If we are persecuted for His sake, then blessed are we! Oh, let us esteem the reproach of Christ! Let us suffer together with Christ. I think it is an honor for us, to be counted worthy to suffer shame for HIS name.

Our countless brothers and sisters overseas have been suffering for Christ for so long, now it is our chance to join them in their suffering. More than that, that we may join the fellowship of suffering with Christ! What a glorious opportunity we are seeing here!

Let us be ready to suffer for Christ and with Christ!

    • Hammerstrike

That is what they want you to be, persecuted, not resisting.

So don´t be so selfish, pain should be shared with those who causes it.

      • Richard T.

God is the One who will vindicate and judge. Whether our persecutors will suffer or not it is God’s business. But God will judge us for our reactions to persecution.

All in all, everything that happens should bring us closer to God, and persecutions will do that, if we trust in Him.

I will GLADLY die for my father in heaven any day. I will not stand for what the government has to say I will contine to speak the gospel to ANYONE that will listen because those who except his love and joy ultimately want to fight for JESUS CHRIST as well. I love himwith all my heart and by them taking my life there only letting me get to my father even faster. TURN TO CHRIST deep in everyone’s heart they know and SEE the truth everywhere I mean look at our music. The bible is clearly the way and the truth and I will hug and kiss my sword because it keep me full of the joy and my peace my father in heaven has for me. I even forgive him for his words because he won’t except the truth and because of that the devil has him right where he wants him. I’ll pray for him. Jesus can change anyone. Especially “you” to whom ever reads this. Just do it. Read you bible change your life. Dont fight the truth.

Suffering for Christ? How about all the people that are suffering because of christ?

  • kathyk

Someday all of these anti-GOD “people” will meet GOD. I hope all of us believers get to watch the show.

  • LesBaer1911

I am sure Sergeant York would have an issue on this
    nutty stance.

  • Richard T.

Who’s to say one is “evangelizing” or “proselyting”? A “willing” audience? Who’s to say they are willing? What if they started out as “willing” but later decided they are being “harassed”? And what if some passer by “felt” offended by your sharing your faith? And they complain that they were “harassed”?

Basically this policy is aimed to shut down the sharing of Gospel, one step at a time. Eventually all sharing of the Gospel will be outlawed.

  • Birger_Skruddusvingen

    What a terrible, repulsive country.
USA – Useless Soviets of Apathy.

  • Bob Ross

How could you even half take this seriously? I guess “Truth” means the same thing as “Wild sensationalism and speculation” nowadays.

  • Randy

Religious proselytization is not permitted within the Department of Defense, neither is palm reading, casting of bones, fortune telling, or tarot cards. So what?

    • tlsjrsjas2011

Agreed. Christians are crying about this however its for all religious beliefs, not just them. Freedom of religion means MORE than just Christianity. Sadly some of His followers don’t realize this or refuse to realize this.

  • Follower of Jesus

Mr. Weinstein is one of those people who can’t stand the thought that someone, somewhere in the world is enjoying God.

  • Arizona

Mikey Weinstein, wants to teach your military children ITS OK,to kill and eat other human beings, and murder babies and eat their remains, drink their BLOOD just like an animal in the forest would do,WE could CHANGE THE NAME of the US MILITARY,TO THE VAMPIRES FROM HELL,that would make every parent of military kids proud…….and just think how proud the churchs would be, they could have “eat the children day” in honor of their military fighters…and bring in containers of BLOOD from the abortion clinics, and everyone get drunk on the blood of aborted children…………..KEEP KISSING THE GOVERNMENTS ASS,for just a little longer and this will become the law of the LAND IN AMERICA……………

  • tlsjrsjas2011

If you are sharing your faith with someone who wants to hear about it, there is no issue and no problem with that.

Its if you are sharing your faith with someone who DOES NOT WANT to hear about it. I have a HUGE problem with that, it doesn’t matter what religion you are, I’d have a problem with it.
