Vatican Astronomers Ramp Up Their Search For “Brother Extraterrestrial”

Why in the world is the Vatican searching for extraterrestrial life?  Does the Catholic hierarchy know something about alien life that the rest of us do not?  Why is the largest religious organization on the planet spending so much time and energy looking for “brother extraterrestrial”?  Earlier this month, the Vatican Observatory cosponsored a major conference on extraterrestrial life that brought together 200 of the leading astrobiologists in the world.  One of the organizers stated that one of the goals of the conference was to figure out “how we can find life among the stars within the next two decades“.  Certainly it would not be unusual for a group of astronomers and astrobiologists to get together and discuss such things.  But why is the Vatican seemingly obsessed with this stuff?  As you will see below, there are some high profile Vatican astronomers that seem quite confident that “something” is out there.  In fact, one has stated that once it is revealed, “everything we think we know” may have to “be thrown out”.

Normally, a conference that brings together several hundred scientists is not going to make headline news.  What makes this one different is the involvement of the Vatican.  The following is how this conference was described on NASA’s website

Motivated by the rapidly increasing number of known Earth-sized planets, the increasing range of extreme conditions in which life on Earth can persist, and the progress toward a technology that will ultimately enable the search for life on exoplanets, the Vatican Observatory and the Steward Observatory announce a major conference entitled The Search for Life Beyond the Solar System: Exoplanets, Biosignatures & Instruments.

The goal of the conference is to bring together the interdisciplinary community required to address this multi-faceted challenge: experts on exoplanet observations, early and extreme life on Earth, atmospheric biosignatures, and planet-finding telescopes.

In recent years, the Vatican has really taken a position of leadership in the search for extraterrestrial life.  The current head of the Vatican Observatory, José Gabriel Funes, does not believe that there is any conflict between his faith and his search for life beyond this world…

José Gabriel Funes, an Argentine Jesuit priest and astronomer, and the current director of the Vatican Observatory says there is no conflict between believing in God and in the possibility of extraterrestrial civilizations perhaps more evolved than humans.

“In my opinion this possibility exists,” said the Reverend José Gabriel Funes, current director of the Vatican Observatory and a scientific adviser to Pope Benedict XVI, referring to life on other planets.

In fact, Funes sounds quite optimistic about the possibility of finding “brother extraterrestrial” someday…

Asked if he was referring to beings similar to humans or even more evolved than humans, he said: “Certainly, in a universe this big you can’t exclude this hypothesis.”

“Just as there is a multiplicity of creatures on earth, there can be other beings, even intelligent, created by God. This is not in contrast with our faith because we can’t put limits on God’s creative freedom. Why can’t we speak of a ‘brother extraterrestrial’? It would still be part of creation.”

Funes, who runs the observatory that is based south of Rome and in Arizona, held out the possibility that the human race might actually be the “lost sheep” of the universe. There could be other beings “who remained in full friendship with their creator,” he said.

So Funes is actually suggesting that when we do encounter extraterrestrial beings, they may not have fallen into sin like humanity has.

The implications of this are staggering.  Just check out what researcher Tom Horn recently had to say about this

This is an argument that they continue to make and they’re becoming more and more adamant about it, that what we know about ourselves is that we are fallen, right? But we cannot necessarily assume the same thing about our space brethren, and if they’re unfallen, they’re closer to God than we are. Therefore they have a better understanding of the Gospel and of the Godhead and of the nature of God. And when they started out three years ago, Funes was saying “I’d like to baptize an alien into the Catholic faith.” Well that’s not what they’re saying today. What they’re saying now is that they [aliens] are coming here and they’re going to baptize us into their faith and it is going to require us to make changes to our knowledge, to our understanding, of the Gospel. In fact, some of their deepest theologians have said, “Perhaps everything we think we know about the Gospel is going to have to be thrown out.”

Another prominent Vatican astronomer, Guy Consolmagno, has publicly suggested that aliens could actually be the “saviors of humankind“…

Captivating comments from Jesuit priests like Guy Consolmagno—a leading astronomer who often turns up in media as a spokesman for the Vatican who has worked at NASA and taught at Harvard and MIT and who currently splits his time between the Vatican Observatory and laboratory (Specola Vaticana) headquartered at the summer residence of the Pope in Castel Gandolfo, Italy, and Mt. Graham in Arizona. Over the last few years, he has focused so much of his time and effort in an attempt to reconcile science and religion in public forums specifically as it relates to the subject of extraterrestrial life and its potential impact on the future of faith that we decided to contact him. He agreed to be interviewed from Rome, and over the numerous exchanges that followed he told us some things that seemed beyond the scope. He even sent us a copy of a private pdf, a literal goldmine of what he and the Vatican are considering regarding the ramifications of astrobiology and specifically the discovery of advanced extraterrestrials… in which he admits how contemporary societies will soon “look to The Aliens to be the Saviours of humankind.

So if aliens showed up and wanted to show us a “new way”, would society be willing to accept it?

Well, the truth is that even hardcore atheist Richard Dawkins is willing to theorize that aliens could have “seeded” life on this planet…

So what would happen someday if “aliens” showed up and claimed that they seeded life on this planet, guided our evolution and are now here to lead us into a new golden age?

And what would happen if the Catholic Church gave those aliens their stamp of approval?

That sounds absolutely bizarre, but there are very important Vatican officials that are apparently thinking very hard about these things.

    Great article Michael.

I believe it will be the so called rapture tied in with the NWO one way or another, many people will be fooled into believing this……Satan is the master deceiver, even we have to be careful not to be deceived.

Study Gods word everyday people and never let your guard down.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Any being who says differently, I know who they serve.

The observable universe is very large. It contains many stars. It appears to be expanding. We belong to a group of stars called the Milky Way. There are literally too many galaxies like our own and variable in size. Each also has a large number of stars.
Recently in time, astronomers have detected signs of planets around those stars. That we are one of many Earth’s in that Universe is becoming more and more evident as the astronomers discover Solar Systems near and far from our planet.
The very remarkable thing is people from 2-7 thousand years ago got things so right. They were not always ignorant shepherds. They were in contact with something much higher on the food chain than ourselves. I suggest our history actually goes back at least 30-50 thousand years. The species we call human, perhaps goes back at least 225,000 years and that is not a definite number.
There is much vague evidence of visitation from such higher species in our past. What is remarkable is evidence of hybrid mixes between human beings and this species. If I were the Vatican, I would be scrambling to make sense out of a lot of things we now know about our surroundings. Because otherwise, the entire Catholic Faith is going to come into question. Just like other faiths around the planet are coming into question as well. Knowledge can be both our friend and our enemy depending on how much truth and how much lie is involved. Our knowledge of the universe is changing as we speak.
The key word here is FAITH. Because when all is said, it really comes down to personal belief.
It also comes down to how things were translated from the older scrolls and newer scrolls. Play the game telephone and you will see what I am talking about. Each person whispers a sentence to the next person in a long line. Soon the one at the end of the line has a completely different sentence than the one at the beginning of the line. Well the BIble is remarkable in that it has not changed much over the years. But it is also translated wrong at times. English is a variable meaning language with at least 2 to 5 different definitions of words. The ancient texts are in languages that are dead. Meaning the established translation is the one we have to go on.
Dead Sea Scrolls have uncovered earlier translations of our books of the Bible.
I conclude that we have to take the Christian Faith on the meaning not of science but the meaning of morales and simple laws(the ten commandments) and the principles of living Christ left us in the new testament.
Since 1945, our knowledge of the physical universe has taken an extreme change of what we actually know. In the foreseeable future that knowledge will change over and over again as our people learn new things. I think the Vatican is wise to keep the knowledge we are learning in context with the way Christians believe.

  • AntiChrist is an Alien

Please read Tom Horn and Chris Putnam’s new
book ‘Exo-Vaticana: Petrus Romanus, PROJECT LUCIFER, and the Vatican’s
astonishing exo-theological plan for the arrival of an alien savior.

When someone references aliens in such a manner, I am compelled to wonder; whether, the reference is Scientology, which insinuates a alien race who is closer to God than humanity.

Considering, Funes is leaving out that if life extends beyond our known universe; than, evil must also extend beyond our known universe.

If there is advanced alien races out there, we’re probably be leasing Earth over possible respectively seeking refuge.

Either we are alone in the Universe or we are not alone in the Universe.

Either Earth is the one and only life-bearing planet, or there is at least one more besides.

Either there is intelligent life elsewhere in the Universe, or there is not.

If there is such life, then either it is technologically ahead of us, or it is not.

Finally: either flying saucers (to be blunt) are real, or they are not real. Equivalently, either we do have visitors from afar, or we do not.

If such craft are real and if such visits do occur, then they must have two things:

    1. A way to get around the speed-of-light barrier.
    2. Some means of controlling or reversing gravity, or something else that works just as well.

Otherwise, the distances between stars alone are enough to prohibit such visits. Further, the supposed flight characteristics of such alleged craft, could not occur.

Any questions? This is called binary search. Yes or no! No third choice!

  • Tatiana Covington

Postscript: the uniformity principle strongly favors life as we know it being fairly common throughout the Cosmos. However, by the same token, there is no alien life: here I appeal to the physically proven unity of all things. The universe’s chemical composition is the same throughout, the elements which life requires are cosmically abundant, water as the chemical compound is now known also to be cosmically abundant (the only stable, neutral compound of the first and third most abundant chemical elements), and the Kepler satellite has proved the plurality of worlds.

What other conclusion can one draw? However, this remains to be proved by actual observation. Until then, we must always default negative.

  • Tatiana Covington

We assume that the ETs would want anything to do with us. Why should they? The first TV they got from us was of Hitler rallies. Now it’s Honey Boo-Boo and Jerry Springer.

    Why no visits? We’re blacklisted!

The bible tells us that in the last days there would be a falling away of the church. 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3 The rapture will happen right before this event! 1 Thessalonians 4:17. Make sure that your life is with out spot or wrinkle, and stay holy in all things.

Did I see something about Billy Meier and Talmud Jmmanuel?

Today, one of the sites I keep track of mentioned a new planet being found. It was small. Probably about twice the size of the largest asteroid in the belt. What was significant was it has a huge elliptical orbit similar to a comet. Meaning it goes way out of the Solar System and then back in.
The indication is that something dragged that small planet into this orbit. Something much larger did this. We have a similar problem with Uranus. Its poles are on what should be its equator. It is sitting on its side and rotating.
So either we have a planet with a gravity probably close to our own or larger, or sometime in our past something dragged asteroid sized planets into huge comet-like orbits. Most of these are in the Southern hemisphere part of the heavens. They are anywhere from 40 to 60 degrees off the plane of the major planets.
The problem is finding it. Even with infrared telescopes, we have found nothing. The Vatican has access to most of the literary material of the Mayas, the Incas, the Aztecs, and others that were considered no-no’s in the 15th century. At least one of that group of Indians had a sophisticated astronomy and mathematical skills.
The other problem is most of the time, if it is visible at all, this giant object is way off the plane of the elliptic and possibly moving in a different direction than the planets of our Solar System. So a computer filter might cut the object out of the data as unreadable or as atmospheric interference. If all the planets are rotating around the Sun in a counter-clockwise direction, this object is more than likely traveling in a clockwise direction and barely touches the orbits of our existing planetary bodies in the solar system. If this object is out there it is possibly at the farthest place in its orbit from the Sun. That means it is really far away and small enough not to be found.
But the Vatican has access to all this information from an earlier time. The question becomes, what do they know that we don’t?

Ahem! A space vehicle, travelling at 500,000 mph would need 6000years to reach the nearest star at 4.6 light years distance. I am unsure what a collision with a grain of sand at this speed would cause.
Voyager left our solar system at 40,OOO +mph.
“Where are they then?” still seems a reasonable question. Life evolved on this planet, so some speculate, on the ocean and land margins. Here there are tides. Tides are caused by sun and moon of specific size. Our human life can only survive within a narrow temperature range, which depends upon distance from a certain kind of star, and having a certain kind of atmosphere.
I am not a scientist, but the little which I do know makes it almost as likely that intelligent life such as ours has only evolved in one place. With six billion others (all in a world of their own) I do not feel alone. Just amazed. So amazed, I am happy to believe in angels as another order of being. As I far as I remember scripture does not record them piloting spaceships.

    • Tim Olson

Well considering there was no word for spaceship then and space wasn’t a the book of enoch and u might have a different opinion

THE VATICAN ain’t searching for no aliens,THEIR watching for a mini solar system called NIBIRU,they know its coming and they don’t intend to be caught by surprise like most of the world will be…………………

I already worked out how to build a hyperdrive, releasing paper on 04/05/14 🙂

Something often overlooked is that anything not of this earth is “extraterrestrial.” That includes angels and other spiritual beings. BTW: God is not “human.” He created humans.

Ironically we also live in an era of where science believes in invisible “dimensions” of quantum physics but also denies the existence of Heaven, explained as a mythical place.

So if ET where to ever show up, best question where they are coming from and why. The last batch decided to breed with human women long ago resulting in the Flood.

  • englishrancher

If the Vatican has given in to this secular thinking, then the world is indeed doomed. God Made this universe only for us to ponder. Both Genesis and Revelation seems to suggest this.
