What Will You Do When You Can No Longer Buy Or Sell Without Submitting To Biometric Identification?

Biometric Security Cartoon By Welleman What Will You Do When You Can No Longer Buy Or Sell Without Submitting To Biometric Identification?

In some areas of the world, payment systems that require palm scanning or face scanning are already being tested.  We have entered an era where biometric security is being hailed as the “solution” to the antiquated security methods of the past.  We are being promised that the constant problems that hackers are causing with our credit cards, bank accounts, ATM machines and Internet passwords will all go away once we switch over to biometric identification.  And without a doubt, we have some massive security problems that need to be addressed.  But do you really want a machine to read your face or your hand before you are able to buy anything, sell anything or log on to the Internet?  Do you really want “the system” to be able to know where you are, what you are buying and what you are doing at virtually all times?  Biometric security systems are being promoted as “cool” and “cutting edge”, but there is also potentially a very dark side to them that should not be ignored.

In this day and age, identity theft has become a giant problem.  Being able to confirm that you are who you say that you are is a very big deal.  To many, biometric security presents a very attractive solution to this problem.  For example, the following is a brief excerpt from a recent Fox News article entitled “Biometric security can’t come soon enough for some people“…

In a world where nearly every ATM now uses an operating system without any technical support, where a bug can force every user of the Internet to change the password to every account they’ve ever owned overnight, where cyber-attacks and identity theft grow more menacing every day, the ability to use your voice, your finger, your face or some combination of the three to log into your e-mail, your social media feed or your checking account allows you to ensure it’s very difficult for someone else to pretend they’re you.

Almost everyone would like to make their identities more secure.  Nobody actually wants their bank accounts compromised or their Internet passwords stolen.  But there is a price to be paid for adopting biometric identification.  Your face or your hand will be used to continually monitor and track everything that you do and everywhere that you go.  Here is some more from that Fox News article…

Friday, we made Ryan King the most verified man in Brooklyn.

“Verified,” a fingerprint-recognition device chirped back at Ryan after he placed his finger on the reader.

“Verified,” a facial-recognition device said to Ryan after scanning his face.

Ryan works at the American headquarters for FingerTec, a Malaysian company replacing PINs, usernames, and typed passwords with fingers and faces we don’t need to memorize.

“You can’t copy someone’s fingerprint unless you chop it off,” Ryan said, “which wouldn’t work because it has to be attached to a hand.”

For now, biometric security is not being forced on people.  If you want to avoid it, you can.

But eventually, once it has been adopted on a widespread basis, banks and government agencies will start requiring it.

And it is easy to imagine a day when none of us will any longer be able to buy or sell anything without submitting to biometric identification.  In fact, an “alternative payment method” involving hand scanning is already being tested in southern Sweden

Hand scanning has become an alternative payment method for people in a city in southern Sweden, researchers at Lund University said Monday.

Vein scanning terminals have been installed in 15 shops and restaurants in Lund thanks to an engineering student who came up with the idea two years ago while waiting in line to pay.

Some 1,600 people have signed up already for the system, which its creator says is not only faster but also safer than traditional payment methods.

“Every individual’s vein pattern is completely unique, so there really is no way of committing fraud with this system,” researcher Fredrik Leifland said in a statement.

“You always need your hand scanned for a payment to go through.”

But before biometric identification is widely used for payment systems, we will probably see it implemented in a whole bunch of other ways first.  For instance, biometric scanners are already being used in dining halls on college campuses all across America

Hand geometry readers have been fairly common on campus for years but more recent deployments are leveraging fingerprint and even iris biometrics to link students with transactions. Physical access is the hallmark biometric application but the technology has been gaining popularity in food service and other sectors to expedite transactions.

The social stigma attached to biometrics is also being lifted, as students are becoming more comfortable with the technology, says Brian Adoff, executive vice president at NuVision. The inclusion of a fingerprint scanner on the latest iPhone is just one indication that the younger generation is comfortable with biometrics.

“Administrators have a greater fear of the technology than students,” says Bob Lemley, director of software development at the CBORD Group. “Students are growing up with the technology so they don’t think about it as much as the older generations.”

Georgia Southern University can attest to that fact. The school deployed iris biometrics at its dining hall and only two students out of 5,400 refused to enroll, says Richard Wynn, director of the university’s Eagle Card Program.

Young people tend to be less alarmed by this technology, and so that is where it is being pushed.  If you can believe it, biometric scanners are even going to be used at Six Flags amusement park this summer…

A new scanning system at Six Flags sounds like it’s from the future, but the biometric scanner aims to make faster entrances for season pass holders.

When guests arrive at the front gate for the first time of the season, they will present their voucher and a scanner processes an image of their fingerprint, assigning a unique set of numbers that are used to validate the pass holder’s card each visit.

The first visit should take only about 20 seconds to set up the card, as opposed to the additional time of taking a photo and getting it printed on the card, according to spokeswoman Elizabeth Gotway.

This kind of reminds me of the new “MagicBands” at Disney parks that I have written about previously.  You have probably seen the television commercials featuring them by now.  Disney seems to think that parents and kids will have no problems wearing RFID tracking devices that allow them to buy stuff and monitor wherever they go.  If you want to see what Disney has to say about these “MagicBands”, you can do so right here.

Our world is becoming stranger with each passing day.

Incredibly, biometric identification is even being used in Africa to keep track of who is being vaccinated…

In fact, some biometric solutions are helping solve vaccine delivery issues in Africa which has been hampered by ineffective tracking and reporting. Today, a biometric vaccination registry helps to ensure that millions of young children receive the vaccine that is needed to save their lives. And by knowing “who” has been vaccinated, these precious life-saving drugs are not wasted by over-vaccinating some and missing others entirely.

This technology is going to keep spreading, and it is going to become harder and harder to avoid it.

And it is easy to imagine what a tyrannical government could do with this kind of technology.  If it wanted to, it could use it to literally track the movements and behavior of everyone.

We are already starting to see the establishment of massive biometric databases.  One of these is the FBI’s facial recognition database that is a part of their “Next Generation Identification” program.  It is being projected that the FBI will have compiled 52 million of our “face images” by the year 2015.  Given enough time, eventually I am sure that they would have all of our faces in their computers.

And one day, this kind of technology will likely be so pervasive that you won’t be able to open a bank account, get a credit card or even buy anything without having either your hand or your face scanned first.

When that day arrives, what will you do?

That is something to think about.

Hopefully, I’ll be gone before it gets to that point. :-)

    • drew

What if you come back and live another life here?

      • Tim

Oh, I’ll be coming back. But the world will be a lot different than it is now. This has nothing do with reincarnation–a pagan philosophy that I don’t believe.

        • LASquared

reincarnation is not a pagan philosophy. I can give you a link to the biblical passage and even evidence of obvious clairvoyance, clairaudience etc…

          • Tim

The Bible does not teach reincarnation. The Bible does teach that all will be resurrected, both the just and the unjust.

          • LASquared

There is so much more that you do NOT know. There are lost books and so much more. I have made it my life’s work involved in research. I am not here to convert anyone and thou shalt interpret however you wish to make you happy. at any rate, I will not be taking the mark of the beast. Knowing what it is and accepting it will get you (you know where) however ignores is apparently bliss because if it is done without ones knowledge then I guess they get a get out of jail free redemption card. Sucks having knowledge sometimes.

          • Nam Marine

            You’re a fricking moron !

          • LASquared

LOL that’s all ya got. Well you have yourself a Happy Easter! Love, “fricking moron”

          • Bryan

in the book of Hebrews it states: It is appointed for man to die ONCE and then comes the judgement

          • Momz

…and then you get to go back and learn what you didn’t the first five gozillion times. Geezus! Interpretation is one thing, but DO keep in mind that the texts have been re-written a time or two since the beginning concerning one rulers agenda vs. another’s! Should women still go to the temple because we bleed too? Get a grip!

          • Jo Brown

No no no NO Momz! The bible is God’s word, and it changes NOT. Jesus said not the least stroke of a pen would disappear from the law. The bible also says of God that he doesn’t change, he’s the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. So he’s not going to change the rules some day and allow mankind to live and die in repeated cycles. The bible says death is an enemy, and it will be eliminated when Jesus sets up his kingdom on earth. So man will NEVER have an opportunity to “go back and learn what [he] didn’t the first give gozillion times” and die all over again each time. You die ONCE, and then face judgment. God has spoken it, and that settles it.

          • Erika

How do we know we are interpreting God’s word correctly? Many bible researchers and scholars’ still scratch their heads as to the meanings, should we take them literally or not? I am new to God’s word and am very curious. Through a my personal experience imposed on me by voodoo I came to know that the dark side is true, luckily after many years this awful state ran its course and I turned to my normal personality, at which time I realized if a person can access the dark side with a few dollars and a good spell than I should be able to reach our Lord with good intentions love and compassion, therefore the light is also true. Through this experience I became able to see, hear and speak to ghosts. I have seen that they are able to stay here within this Earth plane, my mother’s body cremated, her ghost a beautiful woman of 33. How is this? We know very little of death, the Bible is the most difficult book to understand and leaves a lot unsaid. Belief helps me to understand our universe, God and his Angels of Light help me. 1 thing I can tell you there are different dimensions of existing within our Universe. Where do we go? How do we travel after death? We for sure are not stuck in our body, only to be worm food. What state does God consider our death, maybe death for us in God’s mind is after we have learned all of our lessons. Maybe death is the death of our continued efforts to believe in our inner faith and God like talents, succumbing to the ways of the devil after the allotted attempts. I do believe God wants us all to make it to him, to live with him, in love and peace, he waits. But there will come a time when he will wait no more? So many questions! The truth is stranger than fiction.

          • Jo Brown

Hi Erika. It’s great that you’ve found the word of God and have exited the dark side that is voodoo. God’s word is God’s message of love to us, telling us about God, telling us how he wants us to live, how to relate to other people, and how to avoid the pitfalls in life. There are many things that are not good for us, and some are so bad and destructive that God forbids them in his word, even to the extend that someone who continues in these sinful practices cannot enter into God’s presence. Things like witchcraft, voodoo, necromancy, communicating with the dead, ghosts and spirits, etc, these God warns us strongly against because of the powerful deception they can cast over people. Believe me that I say this truly in a loving way to you that the vision you have of your mother as a ghost is not your mother but a demonic deception designed to confuse you and keep you from accepting God’s word. God’s word teaches that those who die do not go immediately to heaven or hell. It teaches that they “sleep” in the grave until the time they are resurrected. When you go to sleep at night, you’re no longer aware of the passage of time, and the next thing you know you wake up. Just so with the dead. From THEIR perspective they died and next thing they know is waking up from death, having not experienced the years in between. They will awake, either in the first resurrection to see the return of Jesus to collect his followers, or in the second resurrection to face God in the final judgment. Therefore, they cannot be wandering about the earth as ghosts while they “sleep” in the grave. These are demons posing as your mother to deceive you and others about the nature of life and death and to cast doubt on God’s word. This comment forum is not the place to go into great detail, but I encourage you to find a bible believing church and get hold of their teaching materials. I’ve attended various such churches, such as Baptist, Salvation Army, and Assembly of God. But now I’ve settled in the Seventh Day Adventist church who have some excellent teaching. Perhaps you can search one out in your region. The big thing is: Trust in the word of God for your teaching. It will help you avoid the deceptions in the world. Treat God’s word like your daily bread. And trust in Jesus Christ for your salvation. God bless you Erika! He loves you. Keep drawing near to God, and he will reveal his truth to you.

          • Melanie

Amen to the Word!!! She’s so right!!!

          • Erika

Yes, I have been searching for a church that I feel good about and people I feel good with., it is really hard to find. I distrust people because of the voodoo and other harm imposed on me by those closest to me. I do trust in God completely, although new to his word, God and his Angels’ of light have shown me many times that they are true. I am grateful that I feel his shoulder to lean on everyday. Blessings to you also, thank you for the kind words.

          • Melanie

That’s right!! The Word also says “Let man be a lie, but MY Word is truth and life!”

          • Annie

The so-called lost books are mostly filled with gibberish. They were written after the latter part of the second century AD while the gospels and the letters were written only a couple of decades after the cross. I know which writings I would rely on. But you may be right that some Jews had som sort of regard for reincarnation – there is the story of the man born blind who was healed by Jesus. The apostle asked of Jesus who sinned that he was born that way, his parents or him? Thus implying reincarnation possibly, or it could be down to “bad reporting”.

          • Jo Brown

You can’t take a question asked in ignorance by a disciple, and use it as justification for re-incarnation, which is what LASquared might be doing. You may be right that LASquared hinges her/his belief in re-incarnation on this particular verse. I’d love to see if that’s the case, or if there are other verses in support of re-incarnation. But as always, one must be careful of the context of the verse, and who is saying it. For instance, one must not take as gospel truth the things said by Job’s friends in the book of Job, or the things said by king Nebuchadnezzar in the book of Daniel. The bible records what those guys said, but that doesn’t mean they were inspired by the Holy Spirit.

          • Momz

You cant know what has been lost or deliberately hidden in the Vatican’s vaults etc. that’s just an ignorant statement and so completely off the topic its stupid!

          • Jo Brown

Ignorance is not bliss. The bible says that in the end times many will be deceived. To be deceived means to be ignorant of the truth. Being deceived into taking the mark of the beast does not change the fact that ALL who take the mark of the beast will not inherit eternal life.

          • Mike

LASquared, you do NOT understand! There are NO “lost” books of the Bible, no such thing. To proclaim such heresy reveals that you do not have faith that God can and will “carry” His Word thru the ages WITHOUT blemish or mistakes. Any such “lost” books are meant to deceive. I can give you an example. (one that you are either unable or unwilling to give, per Jo Brown)
In the so-called “lost” book of Enoch, in the fortieth chapter, verse nine, there are attributes mentioned that, if one knows Jesus Christ, clearly belong to Him…and NO ONE ELSE!!!
However, these Christ attributes are given to a heretofore unknown angel????? ARE YOU F— SERIOUS??? Because these obvious attributes are stolen from Jesus and given to a much lesser CREATED being, well, why read any further? It’s an obvious lie, and I had no further need to investigate. Yet, do you really think I would waste time on another rabbit hole meant to deceive? If your “life’s work” has been spent “researching”….I’d be curious to know what it is exactly that you have been studying, because if this is where your research has led you, I’d say it has been a waste of time, and you would be better off in some new age commune, because you put forth concepts that are NOT found in the BIBLE ALONE…..unless there is some new drug out there that I don’t know about, by which you can extrapolate some bizarre theory of reincarnation thru Jesus’ words or parables?
Although yes, it is very possible to live an unusual life and still be redeemed, there are core beliefs that ALL redeemed believe regardless of whether or not you have red wine or grape juice for communion. (due to possible alcoholic issues, you wouldn’t want to cause someone to relapse at communion, would you?), and belief in one life, one judgement, Jesus saves all who believe in Him are some of these. Reincarnation is not one of these, belonging to fringe groups whose belief system negates any need for a Redeemer.
This is what reincarnation does, blatantly and spitefully.
If you align yourself with beliefs that cannot logically be found in His Word, how ever do you expect to avoid the mark of the beast? Not trying to be judgmental or mean, just curious

          • LASquared

I will agree to disagree. I do not need your augment or your caps to be at peace with my own beliefs. I have already said I am not here to convince anyone of anything and it is the last time I will post anything in regards to biblical ping pong. What is important is that we are at war right now spiritually. War with the dark side and I do not care to take my time arguing about these things. Good luck on your journey!!!!

          • Teresa Geib Bacon

You show me Scripture that says that please, meantime read this

The first, most glaring dissimilarity between reincarnation and Biblical doctrine occurs in the idea of a recurring cycle of existence. Does each person live many times in the same or different form? The Bible says, “It is appointed for men once to die, and after this comes judgment” (Hebrews 9:27). The Scripture pictures death as a separation of the soul from the world, Christ Himself describing death as God requiring man’s soul (Luke 12:20). When a saint of God dies, rather than merely being promoted to a higher status for another lifetime, he enters his eternal estate, secured for him by God’s grace. The divinely inspired apostle exclaimed, “We are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord” (2 Corinthians 5:8). Christ’s record of the rich man and Lazarus shows that both the saved and the unsaved enter their respective rewards following death (Luke 16:19-31).

So then, one’s life is not followed by an indefinite number of succeeding lifetimes. This vital difference established, more tangible differences emerge.

Classical ideas of reincarnation know nothing of a personal God who enters holy relationships with His creatures. In fact, ultimate reality is usually conceived as a cognitive process within man himself, rather than as a personal God.

Further, reincarnation schemes make men’s spiritual advancement contingent upon his mortal efforts, attempting to make merit outweigh demerit. Christianity shows, however, that salvation cannot be earned by sinful man, but rather, it is merited by Jesus Christ’s substitutionary death and resurrection for all who believe. “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9).

          • LASquared

Research it for yourself. Specifically look up what I told you. You can also read a good book, if you are ready for it, written by a former priest. It is called Communication with the Spirit World of God, its laws and purposes. Johannes Greber (that is just one). Very good read and mind blowing.

          • Teresa Geib Bacon

With all due respect, I don’t need to read it. I have the Bible to read. Have a good wknd

          • Josey Wales

That was cold, yo. Though I do agree with you. That former priest was deceived by the fallen ones, they’re good at that.

          • Jo Brown

You said you could give a link to a biblical passage about re-incarnation. So cough it up then. It’s a cop-out to now say “look it up for yourself”. Teresa has essentially said that, according to her understanding of the scriptures, there is no biblical basis for re-incarnation. Therefore it’s useless to tell her to look it up for herself because she can’t look up what she knows is not in the bible. YOU need to provide that link as evidence that your assertion is correct, otherwise your assertion is nothing but hot air.
My guess is that you haven’t provided the link because there simply isn’t any support for re-incarnation in the bible.

          • Fannie

This was really, really good material. We all thank you for sharing!!! Lots of “likes” on this post!!!

          • Teresa Geib Bacon

Hi Fannie, thank you, for some reason only you came thru so never knew anyone posted that makes me appear rude, sorry out there! Have a blessed day!

      Hopefully in Heaven, brother.

      • Tim

        Yes, that’s what I meant. :-)

        • nygrump

You’d better do more than hope, and that doesn’t mean wave a bible in people’s face and tell them you are better than them

    • Westwind

      Hopefully NOT!

Anyone that runs from the task of defeating Satan and his/her Earthly minions is not worthy; it’s the equivalent of denying Jesus as the crow caws.
Perhaps you armchair Christians think a life devoid of deeds is worthy? It is NOT. Jesus said, “Anyone that would believe in me must pick up his cross and follow me.”

Running (“before it gets to that point) is not a deed that He would condone . . . ‘Good thing He possesses “Infinite Mercy” ala Sister Faustina and the Devine Chaplet.

Now . . . stop your running, and pitch in to the Good fight.

  • K

All these so called security systems only work if the database is isolated from the internet. Once you go with a centralized database, and for monetary reasons they will. You are right back to the same old problem, you have to connect the database to the net. Therefore the database can be hacked. As long as the database is exposed, no real increase in security is possible.

    • Josey Wales

Good, we don’t need increased security. That’s how they take away our freedoms.

      • K

That is my point. If this nonsense is pushed through. It will have nothing to do with security.

  • DJohn1

The bottom line is how much does it cost. All of this technology has to pay for itself. Right now, most of these articles tell a story of businesses going broke. So if they are planning to do this, someone has to pay the freight on it.
The problem with credit cards is theft. The fraud associated with credit cards is really bad.
For every program out there, someone, possibly a genius level person has a way of hacking it. I predict that no matter what technology they use, it will be hacked.
What eventually will happen is no one will be able to guarantee that money will not be counterfeited. So the only way to do business will be with some form of credit/debit cards for everyone.
Right now there is an underground economy totally independent of the tax system and the government. Whether it is simply trading goods or services, or if a small amount of currency is exchanged for goods and services it is out there. A lot of it is amongst the poor. What have they got to lose?
Credit cards are all ready using locator technology to trace people.
The problem is that technology does increase proportionately.
The only thing we can do is try to keep up with it.

    • LASquared

Yes they are slowly feeding this to the people to get them to adapt to it. It has nothing to do with convenience other than human and population control. Again Mark of the Beast!!! It is written

  • seth datta

The level of technology available to central bankers/governments, is far in excess of what the public is told. Supercomputers already track our movements and monitor/attempt to influence our behaviour. This is how a tyrannical minority elite maintain control over the vast majority of the masses (ie the ‘enemy’). All our faces and details are on government databases, if you live in a Western country in 2014. It has been like this for the past few years.

  • Tom

What happens when all of our data, which would be bio-metrically collected and saved, is hacked, compromised or altered? We cannot be issued new fingerprints or irises! My credit cards have been compromised in the past and I was issued new cards with new account numbers, can’t do that with my eyes, fingertips, or veins….

    • Houston Retrievers

Hey Tom, they are the hackers, the criminals, the conspirators against, humanity, nations, and loyalty to the same. They just do it by proxy, maintaining deny-ability.

  • Bryan

Revelation 13 you will not be able to buy sell or trade without the mark. He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast that the image should both speak and casue as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. He cuases all small and greath, reich and poor, free and slave to receive a makr on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the makr or the name of the beast or the number of his name.

    • LASquared

      Exactly!!

    • Jo Brown

Yep, us Christians will have to develop barter networks. Or we may get to see our God provide for us miraculously. Fancy seeing the birds bringing you your daily food? Or a jar of rice or flour or oil that remains mysteriously full all the time, even though you take from it daily?
Christ’s return is getting closer by the day, not much longer now I suspect. Make sure you have oil in your lamps people, be ready for when the bridegroom arrives!

      • Houston Retrievers

        Oil in your lamps?

        • Jo Brown

Read Matthew 25:1-13 carefully, and then meditate on the message in that story and the symbolism of the oil. It’s about being ready.

      • ary

Absolutely great word, Jo. These will be the days of miracles, signs and wonders we were created to walk in.
People of faith are indeed: lamps, clay pots, earthen vessels who like the wise virjins, carry the precious oil, the anointing and the all surpassing power of God. 2 Corinthians 4:7 This amazing power exceeds, excels and is greater than any earthly power, any evil power the enemy will throw our way. Saints who will do valiantly and be victorious will do so because they know: their God, the Word of God. Blessings to you saints of God.

Gold and Silver will more than likely be confiscated as goldwas before, to settle debts, created in your name, and lived off of by others. They are running up the prices, fear mongering, and all of a sudden just like the other traitors, they will ban it. It will teach you a lesson. Stop trying to get rich they pick the winners and losers.

All of this Revelation 13 seems a little unjust to me.
If people choose to die rather than accept it enmass?
That is unreasonable to expect anyone to do such a thing. To die. We all die eventually.
If we are in some kind of galactic game between God and the Devil, then I think I would cry foul. The rules themselves cannot possibly allow such a thing. Or do both sides accept rules as part of things?
We are fairly low on this food chain. We are not immortal. If this were some kind of galactic game, there would be agreed upon rules.
In this country, the sheep vote. But when it doesn’t matter which way you vote, you get a devil one way or another, then what do you do?
I think the entire game is invalid in this case.
Many years ago I recognized that there are things we can change. Things we cannot change.
What I do see happening is a massive hack that will take it all down as soon as someone figures out how to do it. And someone will.
I think they are going to have a little problem with religious people all over this country. That is a clear majority in this side of the country.
You also have a lot of people that are against technology period. The Amish people come to mind. A complete rejection of much of what this government wants to accomplish.
Before we do vote in the fall, I would like the opposition to publish the voting records of everyone involved. That means both sides of the fence.
I would like the Florida Republican Convention to be published when the House Majority Leader goes for election.

God is allowing Satan to show the whole universe what evil is like and why it has no place in God’s kingdom. Would you expect justice from Satan? He just wants to destroy what God has made! But God will restore all things for those who follow and obey Him. You may lose your temporal life here on Earth, but you will gain it for eternity. That’s a good return on an investment, isn’t it?

    • GSOB

The majority of the Revelation written by John has been fulfilled.

  • drew

Anti-christ appears to be awesome but actually will enslave you.

    • Jo Brown

Yes indeed. He will not appear as “against Christ” but as “fake Christ”. Not an opposer, but a poser.

  • David McElroy

In the control of tyranny, this technology will be enslaving to a degree never before seen. Once it is sold and implemented with the sales pitch of convenience and identity protection, it will invade every aspect of life and be used to control everybody and everything. Personal choice will be a thing of the past in a technocratic hell run by fascists.

  • Syrin

Eventually, some alternate system will come into play. There will be enough people outraged by these biometric demands that some wise entrepreneur will open up a counter chain to provide the exact same goods and services without the intrusive biometric requirements. That is, assuming the gov’t doesn’t make it illegal to perform any functions of daily living without providing biometric data. Who would have ever believed that such a scenario would be a REAL possibility in America?

  • Undecider

Smash the grid! Aside, the cash system can’t disappear. How can the US government run its criminal operations with everything digital?

  • we_have_one_that_can_see

He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or[a] the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

  • Nam Marine

There is ALWAYS a way !

  • RarefiedSnotress

I will get the Mark of the Beast as will be ultimately required and call it a day.

  • Joshua

If you’re a Terraformer or other NeoViking, you carry on as usual. We buy and sell with each other, produce what we need…society in general is dying, and smart people separate themselves completely from it.

    • Houston Retrievers

It will be the same for every group, and it all starts all over again.

  • Graeme Keet

The foundation has been laid in the form of the ubiquitous “smart” phone. Rich to poor -even 3rd worlders without food and water have been furnished to ensure a thorough roll-out. Look at all public places filled with phone addicted numpties, floating through their day using the phone to navigate and rule their decisions!! It will not be long before all transactions REQUIRE a loyalty ap – and it’s a safe call who that loyalty will be to… With 2000 years warning of what John saw of a future who could be surprised!

  • Graeme Keet

I just had my post cut here – regarding the “smart” mobile phone being the foundation of the “mark”. It’s already in the hands of many/most. Rich and even poorest of poor without food or water (like Africa) have phones – they are given when they are not bought. And soon, the phone, and whatever security apps are on it will be an absolute requirement for identification and trade. John saw these in peoples hands 2000 years ago, fair warning…

  • Rick

Can you say “Mark of the Beast”? Sure you can…

  • RavviOli

All this second guessing about the “Mark of the Beast” has me LOL.

What is money? It is a medium of exchange. Or as Ann Barnhardt calls it “Fungible Proxy”. In other words what do you use in exchange for what you receive. Barter is an equal exchange. You give me an apple and I will give you three tomatoes. That’s fine if you have an apple to trade or I have tomatoes to trade. but right now I don’t have tomatoes, and I need your apple. If you use a Fungible Proxy it is what you use as a substitute for money. Today, we use dollars. A 100 dollar paper certificates value is worth as much as the CONFIDENCE that you place in it as being able to exchange it for something of value.
A biometric device is no better or worse than a debit or credit card. It is also no better or worse than the paper dollar you hold in your possession. With that said, here is a question for you. Can you loose your salvation for trading your goods with barter, or can you loose it with purchasing anything with a debit / credit card. If you can loose your salvation by any of these methods, YOU have already lost it. If you can’t loose your salvation by everyday buying and selling then you can’t loose it with a biometric reader either.

The BIG question you need to ask YOURSELF (not some other persons opinion including ANY religious leader) WHAT IS it that can cause me to loose my salvation? What is it that prohibits me from exchanging goods and services. If you answer “Some sort of system that requires me to renounce “Jesus the Christ” as the son of God. If someday you are required to become a member of society (local or world wide) that requires you to do that act BEFORE you get your debit / credit and or biometric card, At that point you have a choice. you can choose membership and loose your salvation, at that point the debit / credit, biometric Id system is just another “Fungible Proxy” . I said all that to say this, It is NOT the card or the biometric system itself is the problem, It IS the system behind it.

    • Jodie Lynn Gaeta

You are correct: there is nothing wrong with the technology itself. If our judiciary and our elected officials were committed to protecting our constitutional rights, I would see no problem at all. But my observation over the years is that our rights to free speech and our protections against unreasonable search and seizure have been infringed upon to the point that I can say the America I grew up in during the Cold War is a very altered place; more and more in fact like the Soviet Union that our teachers would compare to the “Land of the Free”. I would never have thought, for instance, that a pupil would be suspended from school for twirling a pencil “like a gun” or that a Christian photographer would be ordered by the courts to shoot a gay wedding against her sincerely held beliefs (so much for freedom of religion.) This encroaching tyranny is what so many find alarming, and coupled with such formidable surveillance inventions, it is very worrisome indeed.

      • Houston Retrievers

Isnt that Ironic. Russia looks more free everyday compared to what the US is looking like.

    • RarefiedSnotress

      Oh those ancient Biblical fears.
All they had were there limited dirt floor markets. It’s easy to see how having their selling privileges revoked would put holy fear into them. They never had Ebay, Craigslist, fleamarkets, malls, cars, etc.etc.
There’s just too many modern channels of operation to really be afraid these days.

      • RavviOli

That prophecy was yet future, and they knew it. What ARE you going to do if you are required to convert to Islam before you can get your new means of a “Fungible Proxy”?

      • wisefool

Oh so the mark must have already happened then. When? What about the rest of Revelation? Don’t drool too much.

        • GSOB

All that’s left is generations of Jews
convert to Christ, Christ comes to judge and then the consummation.

        • RarefiedSnotress

no,no,no.. no mark yet..and I’m not really worried about it.

    • Houston Retrievers

The problem as I see is the belief that we have to give someone who is not party to our exchange of fruit or labor, a third (at minimum) of our exchange. The only way I could see the state/fed having the right to take anything from anyone for working, is if they provided the knowledge or skill sets to work. Last time I checked college wasn’t free.

  • Grannie Annie

If we are still here we have the promises of God that once we first seek his kingdom all these things will be added unto us… what we drink, eat, wear etc… God promises to be our Jehovah Jira (our provider).. We have nothing to worry about. But, I believe that we will not be here as Jesus himself said – when all these things begin to come to pass, lift up your hear, look up, your redemption draweth nigh…. that redemption can be found in the second half of Ephesians Chp 1

Amen. What a wonderful future we (believers) have. I was driving down the road this morning, and I thought to myself “it seems to good be true.” But it is true.

      • Fannie

I agree with you, Guest. I often have those thoughts of how great it is going to be. To be with Him…to have continual bliss in communion with Him…wow!!!!

    • Jo Brown

Christians will face persecution. They too will have to make decisions for or against Christ. Take the mark, or don’t buy food anymore? Worship the anti-Christ, or be put to death or in prison?
But Jesus promised those days would be cut short, so we won’t have to endure this for too long.

      • wisefool

Many Christians already have, for 2k years. More in the last century than all other time combined. The ones who become Christian during the Trib will too, probably at the hands of Islam. There are many well educated Christians out there that believe in a pre-trib rapture. IMO it’s easier to be a post tribber, because it takes less faith. Pre-trib requires a lot of faith. Not just IF it will happen, but faith you won’t get passed up. Just like in Thess.

        • GSOB

The Great Tribulation has been fulfilled.

If “666″ really symbolizes the coils,

then gradually microchips (e.g., RF ID) will be required (by global governments) to be implanted into your body for a sort of “active” identification.

    Not just “passive” biometric info.

    Let’s see.

    • Mike

Erika, you might want to let your atheist son know that proof of God does exist. It is in our DNA. Scientists have proven beyond all doubt that DNA is a sort of language, a code. It has also been proven that no language or code just develops. Out of nothing. It is a scientific impossibility. Therefore, because DNA is a language, it needs to have a Creator. Needless to say, scientists aren’t too thrilled about this. Nevertheless, praise God, it is true!
I used to read Atheist American Magazine when I was still searching for meaning and I couldn’t help but notice that for people who are CERTAIN that God absolutely does NOT exist…….they sure do spend a lot of time talking about Him. Which was a red-flag turn off, for me.
We cannot ‘make’ another person believe, that’s the Holy Spirit’s job. He does a great job. I can attest to that. Peace.

A few years back I swallowed a pill / Camera / transmitter to examine my intestinal tract and I jokingly told my Dr. That next my entire medical history would be implanted in a chip in my forehead. I looked at the upside of not having to fill out pages of medical history to every referral I was subjected to. I would merely show up and have my head scanned and bingo by medical history would be present. I am not too happy with my premonition now.

  • OdoriferousZephyr

Government contracting requires… from what I’ve noticed… employees to be very well screened. It’s everyone else that appears to slip through that “black hole”/”white light” thing.

Just see how they “roe” in “Idaho”.

    • OdoriferousZephyr

      Idaho. Yoodaho. Everybody HO HO.

  • Julilove

but this is absurd! I mean, there is a fact that says that there are 7 people in the world that are physically identical to you, meaning that the scanner could confuse your face with another persons’. Besides, what if you decide to get plastic surgery? or what if you get in an accident that changes the structure of your face?
Although identity theft IS a very big crime and issue these days, these people won’t stop so easily. I bet that they would be capable of ripping the skin of your palm just to be able to steal your identity. Plus, if we give the power to the government to control us and know our location, George Orwell would be right about the future… Big Brother is watching.

  • Joe Woolf

I may be wrong but, I think the “mark” that is put on you is in your head ( thinking ) and hand ( doing ) the work of the anti-christ.

and, the number is 666 because he appears at the sixth seal, the sixth trump and the sixth vial.

It’s how I interpet it anyway…. I know some with disagree but, even if we all disagree with that, if you are saved, the understanding of this thing will likely make no difference to the place you will end up. :)
